Not a bad period, had some good rushes. Puck was bouncing like crazy in the right side of the ice, kinda messed up a few plays.

Love Mackinnon's talent, but I'd love for us to lay a big hit on him. I feel like that would really get under his skin which isn't hard. Especially since they haven't scored against us yet

Eh it's late in the season. Poke the bear. We lose and get a better pick or we throw one of the best players off his game by being hard to play against. After his last hearing and getting lucky with a fine I doubt he'd risk it with the playoffs coming.

I don’t want a motivated / angry Mackinnon. I’d rather have relaxed MacK on cruise control than him skating around 100 mph pissed off .
We are doing a nice job of managing to keep our shifts short in the mile high atmosphere. 45 seconds sometimes pushing a minute but not often.
In general, since Hughes went down, Ruff has been keeping the shifts shorter. He was often letting Hughes stay out there a minute or more earlier and I hated that.

I took my youngest to see them in a small 5000 seat arena. They are pretty good. The Zeppelin comparison is obvious but what other group with any following of young people is really a rock band? They have potential but somebody needs to help them with their Melodie’s.

He doesn't look too relaxed to me anymore. He looks like he thought they've be up 3-0 on us and is trying to throw hits to fire his team up.
Without Hughes hogging all the zone entries we are seeing Shara skating the puck into the offensive zone and letting it fly.
Saw that a bunch last year, not nearly as much this year.
Does MacKinnon ever look relaxed? I mean the guy skates like he's angry at the ice

Agreed. I may be remembering wrong, but when the switch flipped with him as a prospect. He started putting up points when he said f*** it and carried his lines. Then came to camp and impressed

Yeah but this isn't a one period observation. This is every time I watch them. They just don't seem to be set up to win a Cup. A round or two sure, but they look to be a team that's going to get out muscled and ultimately beat into submission like the Leafs every year.
