But as the leader of the ''We Might Be Ruining Daws'' cult, I certainly can back it.

But I still wonder what the reasoning was? Let Hammond take a beating? Play Hammond against a team he played several random (mostly in the playoffs due to injuries) games for like 4 years ago?

I’d say they prefer to have him be the sacrificial tender. Makes sense to me.

Hammknd looks like he is moving pretty good in net. Way better than he has looked in his other game. I wonder if he was still fighting his injury before? I know he hasn’t been tested but he looks like he is tracking the puck well and looks smooth and not all over the place.

I know he's bad, but he was like Gillies at his worst in the first two games.

And I wonder if we hadn't traded for him, if he would have even played a game at all (for Laval or whoever) by then.

Yes he looked and played like crap his last game.He was garbage and fighting every single shot.

If COL doesn’t play physically NJ will continue to get chances. Beyond the top line COL is probably close to even with NJ. The difference might be the goalie or if Makar decides to take over.
