Lots to be upset about. Richards had a few guys lined up for a hard check in the 3rd and just skated around them. We don't really take the body anymore. We bump guys we don't hit them. It's as if we are scared the intensity might pick up if we hit someone and of course we don't want that. We just aren't built that way

None - it went in off the skate but was deemed unintentional.

Good point. One of the most overrated players in recent history by this organization. He could bring back some nice pieces.

Cally's penalty was ****ing brutal, but in his defense, that was an egregious turnover in our zone from whoever, and he was involved with all 3 of the Rangers goals tonight.

I agree with you. This is a mediocre team that will sneak into the playoffs while the Devils slowly slide out of it after the all star break.

Points aren't everything. You have to put them in context. His play has been wildly inconsistent. He's not looked like a top-6 forward / top grinder in the NHL. He hasn't had the same spark.

Look at Stepan, he is 2nd on the team in points, but has put in maybe five or six quality games this season.

Callahan has been absolutely horrid this season, and is playing his way off team USA. He will make it on reputation only.

The problem is AV is misusing him badly. Cally is getting force fed 2nd line minutes and expected to be a power forward on a line with Zuc/Richards. He is overworked on that line because he is simply not big enough to be a dominant power forward on that line. Cally isn't talented to play a skill game with Richards/Zuc.

Richards/Zuc are not good enough on the boards to play the grinding game that compliments Cally. Its mismanagement of the roster players imo. Cally needs to play with grinders in order to get the most of out of him. He doesn't compliment skilled players at all.

Still the only real atrocious line was the 4th one. That line needs to go ASAP.

No it was kicked in but not distinct kicking according to TO. That doesn't happen its a different game

id guess staal broke his jaw. he was too angry for it to be a concussion. he wudda been back if it were dental work.
