I can’t believe we ruined this team by trading away all the veterans and instilling a losing culture.

Eh Idc how bad the teams are. If we can't detract individual success against bad teams we can certainly can't with team success. Especially considering all the kid playing. Our AHL defense has played exceptionally well considering the circumstances imo but we still have only had 2 NHL dmen for the better part of the past month. Lots to be happy about imo.

This whole season can basically be summed up like this:

Housed by the Isles (tonight aside), Pens, Rangers and Caps and struggled to go .500 against the Sabres
Housed the Bruins and Flyers, and we didn't even really house the Flyers in the first part of the season, just now after they blew up completely

You probably can't get an accurate representation against just seven teams either way but the results are stark against almost all of them

Studebaker with an e, yeah I always think of this when they mention Studenic !!
Congrats you win !!!!!

A pony? Oh, just a lousy Devils win where Zacha scored. What a jip.

I was gonna answer something witty then ..but the moment was lost... Haha.

Bring it, never too late. I was making dinner and missed these.

I was more intrigued by two players chatting in English and their accents

Bahl has also impressed me over this stretch. He makes very sound plays with the puck, good passes on the tape. He makes the right play and makes it calmly. When you couple that with his strength just one on one, he's definitely a keeper. A couple of times tonight he just rode big Islanders forwards out of the play like he was shrugging his shoulders. But as I said, his calmness with the puck really surprises me. He's shown in the offensive end too, just getting it to the net and not getting his little wrist shot blocked. Bravo for this debut in the league.

We lost how many games because our goalies gave the games away though? We had plenty of games were really should have only lost by 1 goal but because we have two AHL tenders as back ups and Blackwood clearly not healthy we get shelled for 4-5 a game. I don't think we should have lost the last 4 to the Rangers or gotten swept by the Caps. Pitt we should have another win or two against and as @Guttersniped has pointed out a million times we played against Buffalo's good goalie who actually was borderline un beatable for most of the year.

arent we rooting for the Oilers to get their conditional pick?
Yes, but they need win a playoff series for that.

We’re now rooting for Vancouver to pick up points so they finish above us. The Oilers have been pretty hot but this lead should help.

If Crawford hadn't abandoned us, and Nico didn't get hurt twice, and with no Covid, who know what would have happened this year...
