I am pretty sure if Nico was healthy all season and we didn't get bent by covid + losing 6 rosters players as we went on our 10game loss streak we would be fighting for a playoff spot.

I would feel better about that if we weren't only beating other bad teams/teams with no motivation in these games. But this beats the alternative of two weeks ago.

To me losing in the first round is the best case expected scenario from an Isle perspective. And I'm far less invested in seeing Palms and Zajac win when they're not exactly a big part of the show.

Eh Idc how bad the teams are. If we can't detract individual success against bad teams we can certainly can't with team success. Especially considering all the kid playing. Our AHL defense has played exceptionally well considering the circumstances imo but we still have only had 2 NHL dmen for the better part of the past month. Lots to be happy about imo.
