Necas is probably ok. I would caution that i got clipped like that once and came back for the rest of the game. Then i couldn’t walk for a month.

I don't think Meier deserved 5 for the Necas hit. I think it was going to be a clean hit that had an unfortunate result that was aided by Necas attempting to move out of the way.

But considering there was nothing called on the Haula check to the head that should have been a major, it all evens out

The main boards are hilarious. The "player y dirty hit/knee on player x" threads are usually stupid anyway and are posted by disgruntled homer fans. But, I find it funny how the Hurricanes are always the "bad guy" in these threads. The diving accusations which we all know are nonsense notwithstanding, but last year when Trouba kneed Aho it was "Aho has always been a dirty player". I've seen a few posters defending Haula for his head hit on Orlov.

Or maybe we as fans are not a bunch of whiners? I don't know

I wouldn't say the diving accusations are completely nonsense. We definitely have a few players that will fall easily to try and draw calls. But most teams have a player or two like that. It's just part of the game at this point.

But anyone who thinks Necas was faking that knee collision has clearly never had an injury like that.
