I think they did good but I probably would've targeted Holtz instead. I think Holtz would've made more sense for both sides than Zetterlund.

San Jose did about as well as they could in this market. They needed someone like Buffalo to get aggressively involved to drive the price up.

Carolina is too smart to go nuts. I don't think St Louis were ever seriously in this and Vegas has very few assets to drive a price up.

I'm fine with Okhotyuk I think at best he's an alright bottom pair guy. He's kind of a throw in to me. Not the biggest fan of the 2024 1st and wish the condition was win the Cup rather than ECF

I can’t understand the external people out on the main boards calling this a bad return for SJS. I think they did very, very well here.

Cause fans put certain things in their heads and these trades never live up to expectations really.

The trade officially started with Mercer from the Devils and Jarvis from Carolina in terms of main pieces and then +++. 99% of the time it doesn't even come close during discussions..

If they end up with our 2024 1st it means we made the ECF either this year or next. I'll gladly give up a pick in the #29-32 range for that.

Although I guess that pick could be higher if we make the ECF this year and then aren't very good next year.
