It's from Planet Of The Apes
I actually probably misused it since in the movie he's reacting to everyone they know being dead due to the amount of time that has passed.

Isn't gaudreau from NJ ?
Johnny Hockey doesn't play for the Leafs, so he's not as big of a star. (Plus, he's basically from Philly. JVR is from Monmouth. Doesn't get any more Jersey than Monmouth, right? Maybe Ocean...)
Morris, Sussex, Somerset, Middlesex are very Jersey Counties.
Most of Essex is just a suburb of new yorkNo love for Essex?
Rutt's Hut, Star Tavern, and The Cloverleaf are all iconic NJ locations. Plus the Devils play in Essex And every level of income is represented there haha. The only "Jersey" thing missing these days in Essex is a farm haha

The Devils just traded Marc Savard contract and Lou Lamoriello for Johansson
All I'm saying is I hope Shero brings us a Cup before he's sent to prison for this robbery

Let's put all the hysteria to rest.
Johansson is a very good, second-line player. He has the offensive acumen to fill in on a first line, and the two-way acumen to fill in on a checking line. He has the versatility to play LW or C.
Is he a dominant force which will make the Devils into an immediate playoff threat? No, but he is a very good, very versatile two-way player who will improve the Devils' power play and zone entries. And the Devils got him at a very good price, for a 2nd and 3rd round pick which were acquired for taking on a salary of a retired player (Savard) and losing an executive whom they were forcing out, anyway (Lamoriello).
The Johansson deal must be looked at for what it is: a bargain pick-up of a very good but not great player who immediately makes the Devils a better team.
This acquisition also gives the Devils an expendable LW/C (Henrique? Quenneville? Zacha?) who can, in turn, be shopped to acquire the top-4 D which the Devils desperately need.
It was a good trade. And as all the best Devils writers (Wassel, Cordell) keep reiterating, the Devils are not done dealing yet.

Not bad Shero. Not bad at all. Nice birthday gift that I wasn't aware of.
zero love for Essex lol
Bergen and Hudson baby lol
It makes you wonder if there is some common forum where the 31 NHL GMs can put stuff like trade bait. Probably not, but I was thinking maybe some type of internet thing. I guess word of mouth amongst execs and scouts gets the job done. Because in a trade like this majority of people believe Washington was fleeced, but its not like Brian McLellan is calling up 30 other GMs asking what he could get.
