Good 13th forward. Speedy which is a need to play our game style. Hits , finished checks , ame is a guy that is well liked and is a competitor. Has NHL experience amd is good defensively. Can’t score but as long as he helps by not getting scored against , hits the shit out of the other team, amd eats up aroud 10 reliable minutes a game and gives our big guns rest , it’s a good pickup IMO

By all accounts he is a phenomenal teammate. Hard working guy whose offence never really came around. Good guy who we can plug into the 4th line in case of injury. Ruff might fall in love with him and put him with Hughes and Haula though.

He likely won't even play regularly, he's a 13th/14th forward type. The extra years of term are irrelevant since his cap hit is low enough to be buried, he's an expensive AHL veteran callup at worst.

I'd rather have Lazar sitting in the press box than Holtz, plus after trading away Johansson & Zetterlund we don't exactly have a lot of NHL ready depth down in Utica to call up if we have injuries.

There's no downside to this at all.

I think we got normal depth player. Compensation isn`t huge for actual trade deadline. Im not very happy, Im not sad. He is ok to be add.

Lazar sucks, definitely could've gotten a better depth piece, but whatever. I'd be totally happy with him never seeing the ice for us

He sucks in a better way than other 4th liners can suck though. At least he doesn’t bleed chances. I don’t mind if nothing happens when the 4th line is out there.

seems like a good guy to have on the roster for playoffs.. can't quite see where he fits in the lineup as a center.. haula/mcleod are not coming out of the lineup nor should they.. maybe he can slot over to wing if needed.. i see him as a 4th line replacement and giving some of the 4th line guys a rest down reg. season stretch.. but never hurts to add a guy like this.

Hopefully he can pick up his game a bit in a better environment on a winning team.
