Zacha seems like an ideal candidate to win a trade with. Decent counting stats this season, big, high draft pick.

Bratt has been a significantly better goal scorer than Zacha in his career overall and does nearly everything better than him.

Why would Bratt's value be the one that's at an all time high and not Zacha? Bratt getting better would not surprise me in the slightest whereas Zacha probably is what he's shown to be which is a decent winger who is good on special teams

exactly why Bratt is worth more plus Zachas shot is more useful to us than any of Bratts traits

Point is Zacha isnt returning anything more than a prospect or pick; Bratt can land you an actual player

Bratt can go to a team like Vancouver or Vegas who cant afford future talent and needs some cheap, we can get a Boeser back if we added NYs1st or something

That's literally not what I said at all. You said Bratt's value is at an all time high so he should be moved. I said that him getting better than he is now wouldn't surprise me. On the other hand there's Zacha who probably actually isn't ever going to have to have more value than he does right now because I don't see him getting better.

I do believe Zacha has more trade value though. That doesn't mean he's better than Bratt at all. The way NHL teams value players can often be pretty awful. Their production is similar but Zacha has more goals and teams will look at his size, that he plays center, the perception of him is that he's good defensively, he has the pedigree of being a top 10 pick. Those others things lead me to believe a bunch of NHL teams would (wrongly) value him over the smaller winger. Even though in reality he's an awful center and at defense and that Bratt's a better player.

I would like to get good players. Zacha is big but very soft. Size only matters if you actually use it.

I'm talking about raw pt production. They have the same amount of pts with Bratt having 4 fewer games. Since the start of last season they have the same with Bratt having 9 fewer games. How is that "in noway similar"?

Tampa's top 2 5v5 lines in the playoffs last year were

Palat (6'0)-Point (5'10)-Kucherov (5'11)
Coleman (5'11)-Gourde (5'9)-Goodrow (6'2)

It's a shame they got tramped come playoff time and couldn't overcome having some smaller players...

Brayden Point is smaller than anyone on our team and had 33 points in 23 playoff games

being big doesn't necessarily make you hard to play against

Why are we even talking about trading Bratt and Zacha? These are young guys that are cheap, and we're not getting anything better in return. Unless someone wants to overpay in terms of picks and prospects, then sure maybe. But I'm not sure what anyone is expecting by trading either of these two players. It's not like we can go out and immediately make the team better by trading them away. Maybe just maybe some team would be stupid enough to trade an equivalent blue-liner, but defenseman are generally worth more than forwards.

We need top end talent and the only way get that is via free-agency or hope that Nico and Jack start turning into that.

This team just has a very long way to go and dumping young talent for other unproven talent isn't going to help.
