Hows Minnesota doing with their continual playoff births and near misses?

Im real glad we sucked for the last four years, its a necessary evil in every sport (unless youre the Yankees, top-6 Premiere league teams, or any other major city in international soccer)

Both your examples are Worlds with no salary cap so you can actually buy everything.

Sort of was the point. But even then not every team in non-cap worlds can just continually compete without down-periods and injections of youth

Which damn well means every team goes through it in a cap world

I definitely prefer drafting the franchise center on Friday then the end of the Lou years of forcing an old shitty roster to try and compete when it literally couldn’t.

It’s an alternate reality machine to try and absolve Kinkaid of all the blame
And I was a Kink fan too, he was a decent backup for awhiles, and he was great in 17-18 when Schneid's went down. I was completely fine with giving him the oppurtunity to carry the team until Schneid's got back, and then we could see where it went from there.

Unfortuneatly he couldn't handle it. And that is the reality of it. After his great run in 17-18, he was awful in 18-19.

Somehow we are getting closer and closer to Hughes and people are acting the opposite of how you should.

What fanbase is miserable on the eve of drafting a franchise center?

In essence :

Fact is that despite all the early goaltending issues they still had a long shot chance of climbing back into it. They were not that far out past Thanksgiving.

But injuries started to really pile up and that was that.

In the end it obviously worked out as we won the lotto. Jack Hughes is more worth it then staying near the bubble and finishing 5 or 6 points out and picking 8th or 9th

yeah i mean all my posts even up to the point of the trade point to this but people still love to just assign me as unabashed kinkaid fan. im a f***ing devils fan and if kink has a good career great but if it comes at the detriment of this team. f*** him.

i just dont think those injuries were just all bad luck. precaution became really high once we were non-compete. which is cool. and might be for this season.

So no updates mean they were holding out a guy who could play?

yeah no. no updates means something completely different. hall probably had a serious injury that his camp and the devils camp were both trying to downplay. the countless other injuries to other players and the lineup in march was more telling.

we released sebastian dea in the first couple months.

he would have been on our first line in march.

like thats not good management to hit KPI’s unless theyre completely different than fan expectations

So they faked Bastian's injury in order to tank?

they did more than that in order to tank.
they didnt care. it worked out. it was just as painful to watch than overpaid UFAs underperforming.

people need to get over themselves and their preferred strategies

They explained what happened after the season. Hall had discomfort in his knee. He saw 2 doctors who both recommended rest and when it didn’t heal up better on it’s own they eventually did surgery and found some loose bodies that explained the discomfort. The surgery was minor but they wanted to explore all non-surgical possibilities before opening him up, which is prudent.

There wasn’t a conspiracy to hide a serious injury.

Cause of Taylor Hall's knee injury evaded doctors for months
