Feels like they exposed Schmid a bit. Shoot high glove or low & play for rebounds. This kid loves to give up juicy rebounds in the slot. Hopefully they paid attention.

We’ll see his mental strength for sure. But I’ll say this: players will likely be more cautious before taking chances, knowing their goalie isn’t invincible.

The last 5 of the first period and the second period is how they need to play.

Finally getting real grade A chances from in the slot actually tested Schmid and got goals. A novel concept.

Let's hope our experience means something in Game 7. Devils will be nervous, it will be big to take it to them early.

Btw, aside from his idiotic drop pass in the second period, I thought Kane was actually really solid tonight. He had noticeable jump in his stride. He would've had a goal too on that 2 on 1 if MSG ice wasn't abysmal and the puck jumped up two inches from his blade. He had a hand in the first and third without even getting a point. Drawing the PP and then he created the turnover that lead to the zone time for goal 3, he changed and Tarasenko came on and scored seconds later.

Big shoutout to Igor who was fantastic. A Lundqvist like performance from him facing elimination.

Much better played game but still lots to improve, particularly in the offensive zone .

They really stepped up on the blue line blocking the Devils entry. And started to exploit weaknesses.

Finally we had players step up and try to take over the game.

I never doubted them.

Kreider carrying the offense. Shesterkin carrying the team.

Chytil fumblin and bumblin as well. He looks off.

Schneids had a REALLY STRONG game. Glad he was rewarded with a goal. He did everything well.

Kane had a strong game.

Kakko and Laffy looked strong.

His lay and pray that the puck hits you because you're 6'5" approach to goaltending isn't really a recipe for long term success. He's not very good.
