It's freaking obvious. Their second unit has actually been decent. No reason ours shouldn't be but you have a guy at the blueline who can not cover laterally much of it. Even if people don't feel KAM is an ideal pp2 point guy he could at least get back to retrieve puck and skate it up ice quicker.CAN WE PLEASE TAKE TROUBA OFF OF PP2.
SERIOUSLY.
does everyone realize how he vacates the blueline because he's so slow? So he has to preemptively get back so he doesn't get beat.
I just do not get what they see in Trouba offensively. KAM is better in every aspect and would help tremendously with getting the puck up ice and adds great mobility on the blue line. It's truly mind boggling. His shot is better. His passing is better. His skating is infinitely better. His vision is better.
As soon as you see Trouba come on the ice, you instantly know, nothing is going to happen... With Kane on PP2 now, it could be productive if KAM was there.
KAMs wrist shot is way more effective.
Game to game, I don’t really give him props when things go well nor do I fault him when things go poorly. My feeling is the GM gets the players and the players play. For sure the coach has one foot in each of those scenarios. And there are things the coach can do to make things better, or worse. But basically, day to day I’ll give the players the credit or the blame. And I’d zoom out to evaluate the coach and then the GM.Nobody gonna give Turk props for adjusting last night? Bueeeelller.....Bueeeelllllerrrrr
He was traded off of a very good rangers team, so he probably feels rejected by the rangers. It’s nearly 30 years ago so I think he should have gotten over it by now. But I guess that’s why he - and Olczyk, similarly - tend to enjoy sticking it to the rangers.I'm still waiting for Ray Ferraro to say something good about the Rangers.
Yeah. Very little room in the NZ.To be fair Zib, Tro, and Chytil are all matched up against Hughes and Heschier at center. That is as good of a 1-2 punch at center as it gets in the league. I would expect our centers to not have an easy series.
I don't dislike Emily per se, I just don't think she adds much to the broadcast. @2014nyr makes a very good point about how hard she tries & she's actively working to improve her craft. I appreciate that as well, but the broadcast as a whole is very bush league.Because of this, I'm going to buy a Cameo from Emily and have it delivered to you.
I'm just messing with you lolI don't dislike Emily per se, I just don't think she adds much to the broadcast. @2014nyr makes a very good point about how hard she tries & she's actively working to improve her craft. I appreciate that as well, but the broadcast as a whole is very bush league.
I know that, LOL. She's honestly the least of ESPN's problems. Subban is in a category all his own.I'm just messing with you lol
If the Panthers win tonight it'll be the rightest I've ever been about anything.
If Burke wanted to call the final, he'd sign with ESPN next season.TNT is so much better than ESPN. Watching Florida/Boston right now and Burke/Pang are better than any ESPN crew.
There's a scenario where the Rangers could win game 7. Ruff might just hand it to us.
You know I hate the muh desire narrative but mentality and especially game-planning are real things. The Devils were not prepared for the first two games and game 7 is another level up in intensity and pressure.
They're really over-focused on hitting because it's the playoffs and they feel they have to. Based on then reporting in national games, they're still really focused on physicality and hitting us more, even after succeeding in less physical games in the middle of the series.
It's dumb. They literally have to slow down to hit us and make themselves worse. They threw away the first two games going of their way to hit and game 6 turned around when they started taking "look how nasty I am" penalties. Trouba did it the right way and waited until we were up by four goals to start acting like a neanderthal, which is fine.
If they focus on Devils hockey, we're gonna have an uphill battle. If they come out with idea of "well it's game 7, gotta really up the things and stuff and show how grit we are," we're gonna blow them away again.

Bob Wischusen is their best announcer, it's not even close. I wasn't sure about him doing hockey at first, but he really is fantastic at it.
Ferraro is solid. I've heard Dom Moore as commentary and he's pretty good. Boucher is strong too.
If ESPN just hired Gord Miller, we'd be set. He probably doesn't want to travel to the states any more than he does.
I don't see how that's roughing.
You want to call interference? maaaaybe but the puck is there. They called it so it didn't get out of hand IMO
Please everyone, kindly minimize the hubris. It gets too thick and it's hard to cut.
I mean, I wouldn't overlook Toronto as much as people have laughed at them for flaming out. They still have goalie issues but they can outscore that if you're not careful. With Boston and Tampa out of the way, the road to the Cup suddenly looks wide open…
