@mas0764 do you still think the Playoff experience last year didn't mean anything? or it wasn't worth it?
Ask Gallant.

And I never said it means nothing, I said it’s overrated especially in comparison to getting the proper talent…. which is still true.

I will also point out that while the right decision in my book would have been to continue to find two more top 6 young star players, something I was consistently harping on over and over again, the Rangers did in fact need to go out and add two top 6 talents just like I said, they were undertalented.

They just got a 31 year old and a 34 year old. Presto, playoff contender. Yeah.... we needed talent and we will need it again next year if Kane and/or Tarasenko walk. Ultimately I’d rather permanently address this situation with young talent than having to rent over and over.

Not sure if you saw Ruff on MSG postgame but he looks and sounds completely defeated. Great point made by Vally as to how many line-up changes they made for game 2, what do they do for game 3?

Hard to believe that Zibanejad and Trocheck haven't scored yet when we got 10 in 2 games. We don't know honestly if this is the Kane we will keep getting, but if so, this team is deep.
I thought both were unsung players tonite. Did everything BUT get on the score sheet.

I said during game 1 that I only care about Kane when he wins us a game or loses one for us; otherwise he can do whatever and be our tenth best forward and it's fine.

Chalk this up for one tick mark in the "winning us a game" column.

Impressive game, moreso than game 1 IMO
No panic, no change to the game plan, just went out and did what they needed to, took what was given, and again mostly held the Devils back at EV by taking away their space, backchecking hard, and not giving them anything easy

Good game all around I think. Would love to see Zibanejad get it going but that line seems to be again be playing conservative to keep from overextending themselves against a fast Devils team.

Two playoff games against the Devils and zero stress so far. Loving it. Just keep beating their asses....Garden is gonna be absolutely rocking.
What’s helped the “zero stress” has been Rangers coverage on Hughes’ zone entries. Don’t know how they are doing it, but they are knocking him off > 60% of the time. Kid must be frustrated (not that I care lol).

What line did Kane play on tonight since he performed? I was too busy with work unfortunately..

I just thank my lucky stars that Lindsay Ruff is coaching the Devils.
Rangers were good tonight but Devils were absolute crap and they’re too talented to play that poorly and stupidly in a game like this.
