Devan Dubnyk is playing great hockey right now.

Assuming he keeps up his play, I'm sure Minnesota would love to keep him. He's only 28. He might price himself out though if he plays too well, so at that point staying would be on him.

Minnesota has had some bad luck with goalies, all of it stemming indirectly from Harding getting MS. It's just not possible to properly prepare for a career ending injury or illness.

It's crazy to think that Dubnyk will be the reason the Wild turn it around and make the playoffs.

If somebody said last year Dubnyk would save the Wild's season, they might've been asked to take an insanity test.

Just goes to show you how terrible the Oilers' defence and goaltending coach are/were.

Devan Dubnyk and Steve Mason. 2 goalies everybody thought were terrible, got traded and end up tearing it up with their new teams.

Must finally be shaking off the Freddy Chabot habits he got in Edmonton.

I loved the trade thread when it happened. Nobody liked him. He's a terrible goalie according to 90% of this board. 90% of them are wrong.

I don't know why people are surprised that he was still good after he got traded to Minnesota....

Well, every goalie Minnesota used this season was being lit up. I guess the same was true in Arizona this season, but there was still the Tippett factor and the general sentiment that Smith was just having a bad year.

False, but thanks for playing.

It isn't true? Enlighten me. That was the general sentiment I heard from people following the team. Not trying to rustle jimmies.

Our goalies ****ing blew, you're right. It's nice to see what an actual goalie can do when he's placed in front of one of the best defensive systems in the league.
