I see the Red Wings and Canadiens are both having there annual post Christmas/New Years win streaks. I’ll be back in a few weeks to update myself.

Habs started losing more after they traded Monahan, a clear tanking/rebuilding move.

This year, it's Dvorak, Savard and possibly Evans. The first two will probably be replaced by Beck and Mailloux, who are doing great in the AHL, after TDL and I'm not sure what they'll do with Evans, but the drop off will definitely be less than when they traded Monahan.

And that changes the strength of schedule how?
Well if it strength of schedule matters and you beat the top 2 teams, then presumably you can beat the teams below them as well, assuming one is predicting wins/losses based on opponents records..

If strength of schedule dosent matter then well...frankly...it disent matter ever

You came in a wings thread and tossed in the habs. I’d have to agree with that guy

Funny that all the usual suspects have vanished. Maybe red wings fans aren’t all f***ing crazy and were on to something when we said Lalonde is a dog shit terrible coach?

I wasn't being mean, I'm just big on statistics and trends that's all. Just relax, it's only game.

No, he's asking is it better to have an annual winning streak after the holiday or an annual losing streak come April playoffs?

Same thing with different words, no?

Losing in the playoffs requires winning enough to actually make it. Seems pretty cut and dry that it’s better than a January winning streak.

I’ll take a January winning streak over the leafs playoff failures. All that talent and Jack Pooopie to show for it.

I don’t know what’s more embarrassing. Not making the playoffs after 25 years + 4 cups or having a boatload of generational talent and all they have is a clap on the back for playing another 6-7 games and failing again.

I’d say the worst leaf record, is never having won 3 rounds ever.

5 in a row. Lalonde was a major issue. I said it. Others said it. People insisted we were stupid and Lalonde was doing as well as he could with the roster. Never change, HF.

To be clear the roster still does suck overall but as you can see they should not have sucked nearly as bad as Lalonde made them suck.

Didn't catch tonight's game but in the rest I've seen they've been playing much better. Say what you want about McLellan but he's at least an nhl coach. Lalonde really shouldn't have been one.

Kindve insane how many people I talked to in this thread that claimed they didn't personally care about Detroit yet won't touch this thread right now

This thread was full of sens fans not that long ago, eerily quiet for the last 4 games, definitely wont be in here after tonight
