If anything is fantasy..So NJ calls out players when they’re bad but most Wings fans think everything is going fine in Detroit. Seems like the former fanbase is more reasonable!
Imagine trying to rip on the Devils’ performance as a RED WINGS fan.
Yeah, one GDT in a game he wasn’t good in. Like I said, he struggled early and got called out for it - he wasn’t a “scapegoat” for anything because there was nothing to scapegoat for. That’s why NJ is in first place. For your reading pleasure:

At this point, I don’t even know what your point is. When Markstrom was bad, people said he was bad - that’s your big revelation?Gonna go ahead and guess that the wrath unleashed in that thread wasn't just because of one game. But you've already acknowledged that...
Feels like none of their internal dudes have developed- that Rasmussen monster is at 5 points, that whole “biggest line ever” thing from a few years back- nothing from it. Meanwhile they just lack that top tier talent- shame, really.
I don't really need to deflect. Detroit's pretty trash. At this point, I don’t even know what your point is. When Markstrom was bad, people said he was bad - that’s your big revelation?
But judging by your last post about NJ, I suspect you’re just trying to lash out at them to deflect from the Detroit tire fire. Please don’t let me stop you - carry on, my friend.
Looking forward to our game next week.
The team has been consistently at the top of the division lol. If that qualifies as “sucking ass” I need to know what descriptor you’re using for Detroit because “trash” doesn’t quite cut it.I don't really need to deflect. Detroit's pretty trash.
I'm just laughing at the superiority complex like NJD has done f*** all when y'all were ready to throw Markstrom in front of a train a month ago because the team sucked ass.
Weird to say "Consistently at the top of the division" 6 weeks into the season and half that time you were .500 lmao. The team has been consistently at the top of the division lol. For the third time, Markstrom got some heat when he didn’t perform. That’s what happens in GDTs.
I don’t think NJ has a superiority complex over most teams. When the comparison is to Detroit, however, well…that’s a different story.
Basically the Yzerplan is to sit and wait for the draft to turn his fortunes around while he signs fringe veterans to supplement the roster in the mean time. It's an awful plan.
Needs to be making more trades as well as targeting better players in free agency. The draft can't solve all these problems.
I've seen excuse after excuse for his vision. Like the Red Wings aren't scoring because Tarasenko has been disappointing; But pretty much every poster on here knew it was a bad signing as Tarasenko has regressed hard and looked good only in a 4th line role for the Panthers last year. Could basically go over every single signing there's not a single impressive transaction. I really don't know how that's defensible but we have some Wings fans in here propping up this weak ass plan.
Nope, unless he comes retained and with nice assets.Would Detroit be interested in cam Fowler to help take the load off Seider?

Why is it awful? Because it's slow?Basically the Yzerplan is to sit and wait for the draft to turn his fortunes around while he signs fringe veterans to supplement the roster in the mean time. It's an awful plan.

I mean, the wheels haven't even come off yet for Pittsburgh. There is still quite a bit further down to go before they can come back up. If Dubas has the Pens where the Wings are now with 3-4 future pieces on the roster and a handful more to come, that's about as good of an outlook as Pittsburgh could hope for.I am sure that if in 6 years on the job Dubas has the Penguins where the Red Wings are now that everyone on here will be just a patient and appreciative of his efforts.
True, they’re fourth in P%. They also just beat the top two teams ahead of them in the last week. One to four could end in any order and no one would be surprised - of course fourth in the Metro is comfortably a WC1 team. It’s not the trash heap that is the Atlantic.Weird to say "Consistently at the top of the division" 6 weeks into the season and half that time you were .500 lmao.
We also won't talk about the fact that New Jersey is 4th in their division by P%. We wont talk about the three teams within 5 points with 3-4 games in hand.
But these are the victory laps you've gotta take, I guess.
Build through the draft worked pretty well for him in Tampa...
Trying to remember when he ever chased a big name UFA while running the Lightning.

My guy, they were 7-5-2 as of November 1st. Congrats on those two loser points. Detroit can tell you all about how those help come April.True, they’re fourth in P%. And they definitely and verifiably weren’t .500 half that time lol.
My guy, you are coping way too hard.
I ought to report you for utilizing rational thinking instead of readying the pitchforks and torches…Why is it awful? Because it's slow?
What better players in free agency are going to sign with a non-playoff team without gross overpayment in money and term?
What sense does it make to trade for help now, typically using futures, when the core he's drafted isn't quite ready yet? Big team altering trades usually occur after a team has made the playoffs and determined that the pieces they have aren't quite right. The Wings aren't there yet, because he's already moved away the few decent pieces that weren't quite right and the rest are prospects. Would the current iteration of the Wings be better with Mantha, Bertuzzi, Hronek? Probably. Would they win anything meaningful? Nope. Is it better to wait for Cossa and Sandin-Pellikka (two of the pieces acquired by those trades along with DeBrincat)? Yup.
