Nasty cross check in front of the net by Weber there lol

People need to remember this when they complain about someone like Karlsson not getting called for interference the other night. We have Weber who doesn't get called on a lot of things he does. Some players simply get away with a lot.

Guy Boucher is trying to salvage whatever he can from that disaster weekend. But .... that is weak.

Look at show location graphs for both games. You'll see who faced the tough action and who had easy games. Specifically the 2nd game, where Price basically saw 1-2 dangerous shot all game.

Teams change their play style for Price. Look at tonight for just a small example. Teams know they can generate rebounds from a variety of areas with guys who spit rebounds like Montoya for example. There's more selective shots taken with Price in net which is why it's so rare you even see the shot clock get over 30 when he's in net. You also have to change zone entries when you play us because Price has the ability to kill a teams forecheck on his own.

Pac, Radu and Galchenyuk are each playing like total ass right now. Constantly pinned in their own end, lazy d-zone turnovers and horrible entry zone attempts.

Back to the team who can't buy a goal at home (especially before the 3rd period)? FFS it's just Jimmy Howard and the Red Wings. Where's the killer instinct? We can make any goalie and team look tight defensively. Effort is there but it's a grind to score any goals for this group. And we can't make it happen until the 3rd period most of the time.

Weber's one of the best at playing within that fine line. He almost never gets called for much and players are too scared to retaliate.

BTW, in regards to Hasek. His career didn't really get going until he was 28 and didn't make the finals until he was 34.

As for Price he already had three top five Vezina finishes, plus a Hart, Vezina, Calder and Jennings by 28. He's off to a pretty good start in his career. He may not ever reach the heights of Hasek (perhaps nobody ever will) but he's had a pretty great career so far. If anyone in today's game can catch Hasek, it's Price.
