Vilardi is > Than zadina. To equalize the trade, la would need a top 4 coming back as well. Something la sorely lacks. La could throw in a conditional 4th round if dman logs less than 15 toi or a 3rd if he logs > than 15 toi.
LOL Dude you're totally delusional if you honestly think the difference between Vilardi and Zadina is a top 4 D from Detroit coming back. Look at Zadina and Vilardi's career numbers and they're identical.

Pretty fair deal if you believe what the points suggest.

Vilardi (now in D+5) : 71gp, 14g, 17a (.44 ppg)
Zadina (now in D+4): 101gp, 17g, 26a (.43 ppg)

I think Zadina would do really well in LA honestly. As a Wings fan I don't mind this, but I also don't think Vilardi is the solution to our top 6C problems. Personally I like Zadina a little better than Vilardi as a winger, so I'd stick with our guy. I could definitely see this one going either way though, and I wouldn't be frustrated if we made this deal.

Why would Zadina do well in LA?
LA's got a zillion forwards to plug in.

I'd take Vilardi over Zadina, without blinking.
So I don't see much reason for LA to make this trade.

Vilardi, at long last, just can't seem to get his skating where it needs to be to play C.
But he still has the hands, size, IQ and strength to be a very good winger. And his skating isn't far behind Zadina's, if it is at all.

Berggren Veleno Vilardi.

Here is where the difference is.

Villardi has already shown his excellence. In preseason, he was the Kings best player by far.
On his short 7 games streatch last season he showed exactly the same.
I wouldn't call that struggling

Zadina has not shown anything even remotely close to that.
The Kings camp doesn't seem to see them as being comparable.

If you guys insist on Vilardi for Zadina, there is no deal to be made, regardless of how many times you pull out a stat sheet

Because there is no trade to be made.
It's just swapping wingers for the sake of a swap.

But LA fans are kind of crazy if they think Vilardi gets you a Sergachev or an Edvinsson.

Say the Kings are in the hunt at the deadline.
Maybe Vilardi gets you Nick Leddy.
I love the kid. I was never as angry at Holland as I was the day we drafted Rasmussen instead of Vilardi.
But he's got a lot of questions around him. He started answering them. But he's not done yet.

I.E.
Beyond the proposed change of scenery for Vilardi and Zadina, there's no point in a pissing contest about the value of all the other 2018-2021 bluechippers as neither team has any motivation/reason to move them.

Do you understand which player you want to get? Here are the opinions of reputable experts.

"He can shoot the puck, so let's put a check mark next to that," Craig Button said on NBCSN's draft broadcast. "Lethal from the top of the circles and down inside the circles. ... When you talk about the ability to score from multiple areas in the offensive zone, that's where Zadina becomes very difficult to check and he creates a lot of challenges for defenders. He's also a very good playmaker..."

"You add a guy like Zadina, you've got enough offense to compete," Pierre McGuire said."

Detroit Red Wings pick Filip Zadina: He's a 'lethal' scorer

P.S.
I forgot to see the release date of the article. I guess I forgot.
I do not remember.

Aha and every team had their pick as 1, same crap every year after the draft
McKenzie had Edvinsson at 3 so it’s not a stretch although I’d wager Beniers was top of their board. Detroit FO (eg Draper, Hakan, etc) have said some stuff pre & post draft to hint who they really love. For instance, Draper absolutely loves Dach and Yzerman had Seider around 6th on the board for that specific draft. Hakan for the same draft (2019) said they had Albert Johansson over Mastrosimone but already went defense heavy (can be found in the post draft video of Hakan). Luckily he was still available at their next pick. Yzerman has also stated that he targeted some other picks but teams have snagged the player before our pick.
