Georgiev had 38 Ws. The contract for Husso is almost $1.5m more, and COL made the 2nd round of the playoffs with Georgiev last year. Not only that, but Georgiev had almost 3x more years of NHL experience over Husso when they signed their respective contracts.

I don't know what you are arguing though. Husso's been so bad you've had to rely on Reimer and Lyon, whereas COL could at least win with their guy.

@Dotter gave a good response as to bad contracts signed by Sakic, though it seems he dealt with them well without bleeding assets. Both Stuart and Beauchemin were bought out without having to pay anyone as cap dumps, and they at least got a return trading Iginla. The trade for Stuart was awful though.

The 38w were because Colorado is a very good team. Not because Geogiev was good lol.

How does what he did prior to Colorado have any relevance to how he played with them?

Husso was injured last season, that’s why they relied on Lyon and Reimer. Both of whom played better than Georgiev
