The tanks over. Ending the tank by signing a bunch of crappy UFA's right before the season with the elite 2023 draft was the worst decision Yzerman has ever made as GM but this contract and the ones like it make sense. They aren't tanking, they're trying to improve while getting assets they could sell without compromising flexibility

The issue is the half measures Detroit has taken lately, the ADB trade was good but everything else just seems meh. I hope Detroit is good because the league is way way Moree fun with they're good but yeah
