I think 4 years at 3.25 is a fair deal for Darren Helm.

He is overpaid in salary and term.

The sad part is that Holland has nearly $20 million in cap space burning a hole in his pocket. It's rare that Detroit has this much cap space. So mark my word Holland will foolishly overspend on players that absolutely wont help us in the least.

Yup watch Holland most likely overspends for Nielsen and it wouldn't shock me if he didn't give Okposo a massive raise as well time will tell in about an 1:45 minutes from now when free agency opens up.

I like Helm, but this contract is awful. I wouldn't give a bottom 6 guy anything over 3 years max.

Haven't seen much of Helm this season. Hopefully injuries haven't slowed him down. I guess it's a lot of money given Helm's highest point totals are in the low 30's.

That said, tons of respect for him as a player. He's arguably the best at doing what he does (bottom-6 guy who brings good secondary scoring).

Looking like Staal might sign a 1 year deal in Minnesota, But depending on what Okposo does it really wouldn't shock me to see Holland bring back Hudler maybe 4x4 but i sure hope not. Because it would be definitely a panic move at best.
