Post-Game Talk: Destroyed by Veggies

Every win will be crickets and every loss will be on the goalie no matter how many PPs we f*** up, odd-man rushes we give up, how many D-zone turnovers, how many sprawling one-tee split saves across the crease he makes, gifts from the hockey gods in the name of posts and even a goal called back. Doesn't matter if it's Igor or Quick, it's all the goalie's fault for the shortcomings of the scrubs in front of him.

you leave snowblind alone he brings balance to this forum.

Its ok to be manic depressive Rangers fans

I gave him credit for his *checks notes* 3 good games in a row. He wanted 11.5M I will give him my wrath when he plays like Georgiev. The guy is shit on a stick except for a few short spurts where he feels like playing. We doubled these f***s in shots. And it's never the f***ing goalies' fault with you. f***ing ever.

Hey we lost in reg by one to a good team. I see that brought out the whiny bunch. They don’t have to win every game to make the playoffs
They have to win two games for every loss (or better!) to make the playoffs from here on out baring everyone around then somehow spiraling even harder. It's tough!

What this game would have done is give them a bit of a buffer against a team they should beat, even if they got the 1 point. Not the end of the world, but the playoffs really should have been completely written off at the end of December. The race to the final wild card spot could very well disappoint people, but we need to remember they really should be a lottery team based on their play the first half of the year.

I feel like because the Avs have so much skill, people just react to everything they do like a nuke is going off, which is understandable.

They really didn't have that many looks. Two of their goals were not good chances at all. Igor sucked in this game.

Beyond that, we played well.
Zib and Lindgren were both horrific. I can think of at least 5 clean examples of things each did (or didn't do) that were huge detriments to this specific game. It is exhausting to watch

Meanwhile the guy making more than 7 million dollars than him gives up 5 goals on like 20 shots. Borgen's contract is not the one to complain about.

We were always signing 31, I wouldn't give a goalie anything near that money, but there was no scenario where he wasn't a Ranger going forward.

There is plenty to complain about all round, but we have just added another long term contract for absolutely no reason, after about ten days of relative decent play, who'll be lucky not to turn into Nemeth or Smith Mark III by next season.

I’ll bag on Shesty when he deserves it. For $11.5M per year for nearly a decade, it’s reasonable to expect that the goalie isn’t posting an .875% or lower in a full third of his games in a season. This was Igor’s 10th such game in 35.

That said, Lindgren, Zibanejad, and Kreider have been far more reliably responsible for the record so far this season. Those are the big 4 that are clearly hindering the team, and make up way too much of the cap space for that to be true and the team to go anywhere.

Edit: and in fairness, at least Zibanejad had some fleeting moments of doing something positive this year. The other two… Not so much. It’s not lost on me that Zib had his moments when Kreider was out.

Saying that he will be Nemeth or Smith is literally based on nothing. Meanwhile Shesterkin is already Nemeth. No projection needed.

I'm blaming Zib over Borgen for that one. At least Borgen contributed all game. I swear I see stink lines coming through the TV around Zib whenever he's out there. The sad loserish play in him permeates the screen.
YES
speak the truth!
ditch this selfish bastard
let him sit and sit and sit and sit and sit
until he bends buckles and breaks
