Post-Game Talk: Destroyed by Veggies

I think you guys give goalies that play against us too much credit. Blackwood made some good saves, but how difficult do our shooters really make it for the goalies? Especially when they give up big rebounds that we can't ever capitalize on.

I can't name one Ranger that can shoot better than Makar does from the blueline, let alone name any shooter on this team with a better shot than Mack, Necas, etc, etc, etc, etc...

Are you saying it's a bad thing that they don't have anyone who can shoot better than Cale Makar or Nathan MacKinnon?

He shoots and if 62 or 42 can fire that puck out, it's a breakaway. That puck needs to be in that right corner where Miller can waste some time allowing Borgen to get back to prevent Makar from receiving the long pass.

Yeah. Just had to get the puck deep. End of the PP and three players need to get off the ice. Get it deep so they can change. At that point, you're not trying to win the game, but survive until OT.

You have to get the puck deep if you're Borgen. You know the pp is ending which is why you were on the ice.Get it deep, finish your changes and make them go 200 feet

Bread was not changing imo. No matter where the puck went Bread was staying out there looking for offense no matter how exhausted.

Borgen couldn't shoot it because Kiviranta had the lane shut. And he failed to see Makar in his peripheral vision. Holding the puck or rimming it on the wall would've been best.
His ears and brain were also broken. First and foremost, when he jumped on the ice he has to know makar is coming out on the ice.. that and igor banging his damn stick . Just moronic

I don't think he was tired. Trocheck and Kreider hadn't changed at that point either. The takeaway was only 58 seconds after the timeout. I think he stumbled when Lehkonen made a move around him. You can see he's skating weird kind of off balance leaning forward.

Guys, this is why I have a backup team to be a fan of. SSC Napoli in Serie A. They played Juventus yesterday. Kinda ridiculous, Juventus was undefeated even though theyre in 5th place. 8 wins, 13 draws, no losses. But Napoli beat them 2-1 yesterday keeping them in 1st place ahead of Inter. Napoli's current coach, Antonio Conte was Juventus coach in 2011/12 when they had their only undefeated full season. Conte is such a great coach.

Laviolette maybe could have mixed things up more today. Less of Kreider and Zibs. More of Carrick, Edstrom and Rempe. Our PP today was a yawnfest. Igor could have been better. Such a tough loss.

I can't say if he initially stumbled but are you saying he hurt himself? If not hurt or tired why not skate back after his stumble? I could be 100% wrong but based on his previous plays over the years in similar situations I just felt like he mailed it in. Some guys will give 100% on offense but only 40% on defense.
