Schneider started getting randomly really aggressive and assertive tonight with his stick, especially on his own blue line. And it generally worked. Interesting development for sure.

Any word on Chytil? Our third line now is lacking and he was becoming a fantastic middle 6 player. That third line with him wasn't super high scoring but was fantastic analytically.

We lost to CLB and SJS. If we won those games or even split them, the collective tone would have been different.

So if we had the same record but lost to Tampa and Minnesota instead the tone wouldn't have been "this team only beats bad teams"?

Always nice to win.
We controlled most of the game but still look indecisive and confused on the defensive side a bit.
PP looked sharp all night. PK need s some changes.
Good to see Laf score, he needs to shoot more or at least look a bit more threatening. Seems to take the wrong option a bit too often for a guy with supposed high-end offensive skill

It sure would have. The tone is going to be absolutely bonkers later in the year if we aren't in front of the devils and flyers

No. Expectations is to mop up the scrub teams and do fairly well against top teams.

We've done fairly well against the top teams but have struggled with the bottom feeders.

We’re a good team. Arizona was desperate for their first win at home and we still won with a late goal on a back to back. Panarin looks excellent which is great to see

Not all because of it but it doesn't help having a cooked Halak in net. Also I believe last year we started 6-2-2, so one extra win. Look at the Pens and Blues both also lost 4 in a row, though on the road for the Pens.

I didn’t get to watch much of this game but it seems Panarin was the bread man tonight. They played last night , still got the win, even if it was close with a bottom team.

Same score as the game against the Coyotes in Arizona last year but we looked completely different. That game we looked disinterested. We weren't amazing today but outside of the beginning of the first and third we did not look disinterested. We're outplaying most of the teams we play. Our record isn't great and we've lost to some bad teams but reading this board you'd think we're horrible. And as always I contribute to that stuff too and am calling myself out as well
