What was her goal here in the first place? Most fail videos are people doing really stupid things, but with an obvious reason. Here, "Success" would be acheived by being taped to a door.

Does there need to be a reason beyond demonstrating just one of the many possible uses for duct tape?

I guess not, but I quibble at the term "use". For something to be a "use", it has to have some intrinsic value. I don't see a value there. Apparently though, upon googling it, it is some stupid millenial internet video challenge thing. I don't see it as a use of duct tape, butI guess I also don't think a valid use of tide pods is holding them in my mouth til they burst for an internet video. So....
<sigh> this world is doomed.
