I can understand not signing Prust to a big contract. What makes me angry is this organizations failure to replace good players who leave or who are hurt with quality depth. This is where the drafting and stocking the farm comes into play.

Signing Pyatt and Bickel and keeping Rupp were terrible decisions. They should have just kept Prust and moved Rupp over the off-season for anything. That would have been plenty of money right there.

It's very difficult to find players like Prust and Dorsett who can play on the line and intimidate a bit while still playing a good all-around game.

I am still hoping they realize they need MORE of these types of players this off-season. Nystrom will be available. So will Torres.

Prust is hurt again. He got banged up in the fight with Joe Finley in February. Prust hurt his shoulder in early March in Tampa. He got banged up again last night. Prust was hurt before getting hurt again. He plays too hard and he is always bothered by an injury. Prust can not be effective playing with injuries. You can play hurt. You can't play injured. Mark Messier saying.

Prust fell last night head first into the boards.

He plays like that, but that is the way you win games. He has almost single handedly changed the philosophy of a weak, soft team.

A weak, soft team, that bullied us pretty good, without Prust in the game earlier this season. I think I remember a few questionable hits on Nash that went unanswered. I'm pretty sure someone else took a dirty hit and nobody responded either.

We have a few things that still need changing, but the way nobody stuck up for each other in those two games was really sad. Imagine if we had played the Senators when it broke out into a 5v5 on the ice, even though the Habs got their ***** beat atleast they tried. I'm pretty sure nobody on our team would have been fighting.

imagine Richards Nash on the ice if that was to happen vs the Capitals with Henricks and Erksine, Nash is big but horrible at fighting... Malkin beat the crap out of him..

Playing reckless and putting yourself in a position to get injured is the way to win hockey games?

Staal always injured. He's ver rated anyway, move him at the draft. NYR has enough D depth

Rangers have a kid by the name of Yogan who can play that type of game and other type of prospects like Kantor, or they can give Haley or Mashinter another look..... id rather see if one of the prospects can make a name for himself in that type of role if given a chance... although i wouldnt mind Nystrom and Torres but Rangers must resign their own RFA before signing UFA..

McBain + CAR 2013 1st round pick is what people want for Staal

I'd take that deal, and I'm a huge Staal fan. I'd take the pick because the Rangers have Moore here now. Plus McIlrath who I think has a very good chance to make the squad next season.

This was a tough draft to pass up your first two picks on. Some very good talent there.

That car 1st will have some very good forward prospects available at the draft. Maybe ones that aren't so far far from being NHL ready.

Unless Jones or MacKinnon are available by then, I wouldn't risk trading away Staal.

If Prust was still on the Rangers, he would most definitely be a positive asset, but I think we know how Sather assembles personnel.

Look at Bryan Murray, Senators GM. He is planning a few seasons ahead all the time, but that is simply another facet of a GM who I believe is up with the best, year over year, in recognizing and drafting talent.

I'm OT here, but lets give Dorsett enough time. He is not hurting the team at all. That penalty against him tonight was really not a penalty.

Call me crazy, but I'd rather the team I follow not fight than get their business completely handed to them like the Habs did. Ideally, I'd like them to fight more than they do now and win, but if the choices are don't fight at all or get completely demolished 5/5, I'd rather they not fight.
