I'm hoping the Rangers add to Dorsett and Asham in the off-season. Would be great to have a bottom-6 that can antagonize and drop the gloves if need be. Nystrom, Torres, Larose all come to mind.
If they ice a team with a lot of those types of guys, then a heavy is not needed.
Clowe would be ideal if they deem he is healthy and his demands are not sky high
I really want nothing to do with Clowe in the offseason. It has nothing to do with the type of game he brings and what I think of him as a hockey player. But this is a guy who has been banged up since we got him, plays a really rugged style, is 30 years old, and we've already heard what his ridiculous demands are. It's unfortunate that we gave up so many picks to get him and even more unfortunate that he probably will be out for a while with this concussion and not be able to help us. Still, if you let Prust walk last year based on his demands I see no reason to bring back Clowe based on age/injuries/asking price. Regardless of what we gave up to get him. It just doesn't make sense IMO.
