Keeping Carcillo at a low cap hit seems like a decent option.

I know he has his haters, but the guy can play effective minutes.

Was never too enamored with him, but he was an important piece to the 4th line. I don't think he was comparable to what Prust was for us from 2009-2012, Dorsett was more of a run-of-the-mill 4th liner.

We have no 4th liners under contract now. I guess it becomes imperative to resign Carcillo, and of course, at least one of Boyle/Moore. Hopefully one of the kids can push for a spot as well.

Dorsett doesn't kill penalties anymore, is small, and doesn't really contribute much outside from his occasional solid forechecking game once every three weeks.

Don't mind this. Some needed cap relief to go towards re-signing Stralman.

That is about what I thought his value was at. They must have other ideas or they like Bourque.

Only downside to Bourque is that he's a lefty shot, but kid is a tremendously hard worker and will do all the little things to win.

Different player this year in HFD compared to the last 2 since he finally grew into a man's body. Fits the system well in terms of speed and defensive acumen. I don't know if he'll outmuscle guys along the boards, but it won't be for a lack of effort.

Nice return. Dorsett was a warrior with little skill. Loved the guy's hustle, but I'll always remember him for getting posterized by Doughty in Game 1.

It's a 2014 3rd that was Anaheims. Vancouver traded their 2015 3rd with Kesler.

Prust was and is a very good penalty killer, and didn't get his face smashed in every fight. He won a lot more than he lost. Goes to show everyone just how effective of a player Brandon Prust was for the Rangers.

Unlike Dorsett, Prust knew when to drop the gloves for his team, and didn't fight out of personal conflicts. Prust would drop the gloves if the team was slacking or needed a timeout to try and get some momentum back. Dorsett never did that with the Rangers.

We might be going another direction with the 4th line. Instead of a strong, defensive 4th line we might be rolling a two-way line that can play two-ways. I'm kind of excited to see what happens. Maybe a kids line with Lindberg, Fast, etc.

Rangers have picks #85 and #89 now, probably could package them together and get into the 50s/60s.

I am hoping they do what they did last year. Just take the BPA at those spots. They need to add multiple players

They don't have a 4LW currently anyways. He will win pucks based on speed
