Sounds good to me man: Bunch of happy go lucky people trying to double your weight at every meal, while cracking non-stop jokes and getting things done without fail; This world needs more Philippines (pronounced: Peel-a-peens) right about now.

That offside/onside goal counts, because Tavares doesn't touch the puck while Willie is on the zone.

It's treated like a delayed offside. Willie tags the blue line and since Tavares' skate is still touching the blue line, it's no longer a delayed offside.

Loved the depth scoring the past two games. Hope we can keep this up for when our 4 Nations stars finally get over their hangovers. Bottom quarter of the season would be great to have the whole team firing at the same time into playoffs.

Hmm, I actually wonder if Timmins looks so bad because he’s playing with Benny, not the latter. He’s not great by any means either though. Benny has had lots of brutal turnovers lately. Not good enough.

I never said Benny has been good enough, he's had some rough moments especially lately but he can at least be in the regular lineup.

Timmins shouldn't be in a contenders lineup and that's what the Leafs are.

it was easy to predict than energy level of matthews/marner would be lower but the good news is secondary scoring finally gave sign of life

4th line yesterday
3rd and D today

Everything can't always beem on top 6 shoulder and leafs will need secondary scoring in playoff

Let's not forget that the second line had 4 goals and 7 assists and were a combined +13 in those two games.

All other forwards combined for 5 goals and 8 assists and were +6.

Which is not to take anything way from the bottom two lines, which were really good.

2 of those goal and 3 of those assist was actually on empty to give 3 goal lead when game was basically always donw...no credit at all for those pts and + 6

of 2 goal remaining, one was on a line change where matthews took shot, kotchekov struggle with rebouns and holmberg just get crosschecked into the goalie with staal scoring in his own goal...and anyway Holmberg is also a depht player so maybe 1/2 goal here for

Do an empty net goal against the best comeback team who's already scored in the last 5 to put the game to a 2 goal lead was more important than a goal with 19 second left who changed nothing to a game already over?

Or against a trash team who was unable to create anything offensively and wich rheir best scoring chance in 1:30 of empty net play was a bedard blue line shot without any screen?

and anyway i just don't know why you come here to talk about 2nd line to me when i was talking about depht production from leafs 3/4 th line player. 7 of 8 (87,5%) leafs goal excluding empty net goal had been scored by depht and leafs 3/4th line player.

2- Get your best shutdown D pair staying on the ice late for extended time late in a game to prevent goal happening all the time in every team... not sure to understand here ...

3- both of those goal was resulting of lucky bounce especially the 3rd one who hit 2-3 player jump 20 feet in the air right on Slavin stick when everyone including Stolarz trying to find it... Not sure why we should be really concerned about those goal, yeah that's suck and made the game closer than what it should but nothing really to blame the player who was on the ice.

He probably wouldn’t have even commented if it weren't for the fact that Nylander set up two of the three EN goals and was the best player on the best line. I'm not sure why he is so anti-Willy but it's really obvious.

1-From a guy who responded in a post talking about depht production to talk about second line, its pretty hilarious you come here to talk about Nylander and mad i didn't give him credit for 2 empty net goal who changed absolutly nothing to the game.

2- Just amaizing you saying it was leafs best line when it was actually the worst leafs line when they was together. Just look at stats from both game. Definitely agree with the baccend but the issue is with our two best 2 way forwards staying out for extra long shifts when the pucc is cleared thirty seconds in and they refuse to change cause of the empty net points I dont absolve them for poor decision making is all

1st EN goal, time between faceoff and goal was 24 second and on 2nd EN goal it was Kampf and lorentz on the ice... I don't know, so i don't really know what are you talking about

I actually didn't mention Nylander at all in the original post. I responded to a post praising the third and fourth lines by agreeing, and pointing out that the second line was also good.
