That offside/onside goal counts, because Tavares doesn't touch the puck while Willie is on the zone.

It's treated like a delayed offside. Willie tags the blue line and since Tavares' skate is still touching the blue line, it's no longer a delayed offside.

Let's get this team peaking, going into the playoffs!!

Loved the depth scoring the past two games. Hope we can keep this up for when our 4 Nations stars finally get over their hangovers. Bottom quarter of the season would be great to have the whole team firing at the same time into playoffs.

Hmm, I actually wonder if Timmins looks so bad because he’s playing with Benny, not the latter. He’s not great by any means either though. Benny has had lots of brutal turnovers lately. Not good enough.

I never said Benny has been good enough, he's had some rough moments especially lately but he can at least be in the regular lineup.

Timmins shouldn't be in a contenders lineup and that's what the Leafs are.

it was easy to predict than energy level of matthews/marner would be lower but the good news is secondary scoring finally gave sign of life

3rd and D today

Everything can't always beem on top 6 shoulder and leafs will need secondary scoring in playoff

Let's not forget that the second line had 4 goals and 7 assists and were a combined +13 in those two games.

All other forwards combined for 5 goals and 8 assists and were +6.

Which is not to take anything way from the bottom two lines, which were really good.

2 of those goal and 3 of those assist was actually on empty to give 3 goal lead when game was basically always donw...no credit at all for those pts and + 6

of 2 goal remaining, one was on a line change where matthews took shot, kotchekov struggle with rebouns and holmberg just get crosschecked into the goalie with staal scoring in his own goal...and anyway Holmberg is also a depht player so maybe 1/2 goal here for

Jt got an assist on steeves goal on an other line change and scored the 4th goal vs caroline. So 1/2 goal

both goal against with empty net was actually at 4v5 ( okay i know one of 2 was officialy a 5v6 when penalty just finished) so it was PK unit on the ice and not really a line
