They’re not counting the obstructed view seats as part of the attendance total. So that’s like another 5,000.

Obstructed view seats are still $60ish a pop so it’s seems crazy to not include them

I had a decent number of not marked "obstructed view" tickets last year that were, in fact, an obstructed view when I turned up at the game. That's in addition to the heaps of seats that are already marked "obstructed view" where you can only see maybe 75% of the ice. Definitely hope this renovation makes the sight lines better but glad they recognized the problem and are acting on it.
