I still think it's hilarious that he had his heart set on signing in Philly, but the Flyers chose to instead give their cap to Rasmus Ristolainen and Tony DeAngelo.

He's got a family now to take care of. Like hockey is the priority in his life right now after landing the contract. The guy goes in, puts in his hour and that's it.

He got 70+ points last year on a god awful jackets team

He’ll be fine. Though I do think him leaving Calgary was a huge mistake for him and the franchise. Both are worse off.

I figure he’s somethin of a rhythm guy, too, so should find a groove for a stretch sometime this season. Him and Calgary weren’t doing much together, either, though.

Some salty people in here. He plays for a bad team and he can’t do everything himself. He scored 100+ on a line with two other high end guys and they had chemistry. This was an obvious thing to see coming. As they get better he’ll put up better numbers, and I’m sure he’ll turn the slow start around this year. He’s not going to score a 100 for this team right now.

Being “done” is a pretty comical concept.

Hey, rationality! I’m not a huge Johnny fan, I do think he somewhat went for the easiest market, but dude wants to put his effort into work- team just ain’t there. Dude can commit, it don’t mean shit.

It is funny, and it’s funny how it’s worked out for absolutely no one. Rich Risto, yes, but at what cost? Will Tony D ever find happiness? Oh, and Calgary Philly and Columbus are all bad.
