I have a feeling that the next 2 to 4 days could be epic....

And I loved being the bigger person yet again last night.

My kids' mom has this territorial thing where she doesn't want me in "her house". Yesterday she forgot to leave my daughter's karate stuff in her garage, so she wanted to pick my daughter up a few minutes early and get her dressed.

I invited her into my apartment and she changed my daughter into her gi in my daughter's room.

From the mouths of babes.

When her mom comes in my daughter goes "I thought you weren't allowed in here, mommy?"

I cracked up!

That's funny. When my oldest daughter was about 2 or 2 1/2, I was laying on the couch and she brought me out a coke from the refrigerator. I asked her what about her mommy, she turned around and came back out with the broom

Needless to say I laughed while the ex was quite perturbed.

That's a good one, too.

The other part that cracked me up was when my ex had to give the oldest one a hard time because he was engrossed with his laptop and barely acknowledged her presence.

He later told me he said he loved her and she just didn't hear. But the way she reacted to the rebuff was entertaining to me either way.

Worse today. Now I'm getting criticized for not having something done yesterday that didn't need to be done until tomorrow. I almost said that it would've been done on yesterday if I hadn't already been in 7 hours of meetings so far this week.

It's been a rough couple of weeks. I think I'm finally starting to come out of it, though. Things are starting to get busy on the announcing front again.

I was in Akron last night for the 37th annual Niagara-Orleans League Boys Swimming Championships. Those are always a fun time - the fans are great!

As I was driving back to Lyndonville last night around 9 PM, I saw a big flash to my northeast-really spooked me. For good reason - I drive into Lyndonville & the place looks like a ghost town. No power. Anywhere.

There was a 2-car accident east of Lyndonville (between here & Waterport) that took out at least one power pole . . . the pole(s) were part of the main power feed from Waterport . . . so the whole village of Lyndonville - north to Lake Ontario - south to just south of Route 104 - and east to Ashwood Rd or so . . . all without power.

We got power back here just shy of 11 PM . . . the National Grid website said 11:15. Glad to see those things actually work.

The fun really begins Sunday - I'm headed back downtown to work with the Sabres & provide the PA voice for their 'Future Sabres' events. I'm really excited!

The "who posted" in the OT thread looks...really weird.

Seriously...MM, myself, Chain, PK, Clock and Afino are all out of the top 4? WTF?

I've got like 20 people on it. Makes life so much better.

Except when people quote those ignored posters...

Plus I always end up being curious as to what new idiocy is being spewed

I do like the ignore thread feature a lot more.

I may be in the worlds closest long distance relationship.

Also, I need some kindergarten lvl HTML help. For some reason, the formatting on my font styles isn't working and after staring at it for about an hour I still don't see why:

Aside from the fact that inline styles are bad, you had font-size= instead of font-size:

This is just a practice/learning tool, so that's what they want me to do. Eventually I'll be just doing style sheets with CSS, etc. Thanks for the help :D
