So long as the benefits out weigh the consequences it will be a part of the game.

It's really that simple. Yet incredibly hard to fix.

When's the last time your heard of a diving fine? and what is the diving fine amount? It's like if speeding tickets were 5 bucks each.

Diving is one of those things the NHL has chosen to ignore. To the point the media follows suit.
Accept it I guess is really all fans can do.

Pretty telling that the people accusing the Avs of diving have pulled out zero clips. If you’re making the accusation it’s on you to bring the evidence.

The NHL highlights team never puts penalties in their replays, so it’s not easy to find an official replay after the fact. This was a game on national television. The TNT announcers were outraged on the Wilds behalf for the call at the end.

Diving as much as the Aves could result in a huge lawsuit from people who have placed bets against them.

It's a bigger problem than people want to admit. Financial crimes are an FBI investigation and Bettman doesn't want that. So the league is going to crack down on the biggest culprits like Makar Nunchuckskins and Bednar (who is the ring leader).

Lol. The Divealanche system is so ingrained into Avs land that even the fanbase are making up stats to hide it. It really is an elite operation they got over there. Avs fans should be proud that their franchise has found a way to get free PPs though.
Out of the 2,655 calls the Avs received in that timespan (10 years), what percentage of them do you think were actually "dives"? Just take a guess, I'd love to hear it.

Evason is an embarrassment of a coach. It wasn't cute when he tried to go after refs last year, it's not cute that he's on a massive losing streak with his job on the line and he's whining about diving (even if there is diving, I don't wanna hear about it). He has more important things to focus on as a coach, but instead he's whining to the media. He preaches accountability, and he has none himself.

Clearly the Avalanche has an in with Bettman and forced the Wild organization to fire their coach in order to keep their game strategy under wraps.

Might have cost him his job

No idea of Makar goes down easy but everybody knows "big teams", and especially big names on big teams, get way more than the benefit of the doubt

Dean’s looming firing lends more credence to the accusations. It makes sense now why he would finally have the courage to say the truth. He knew he’d be out of the League soon anyways so he told the truth.

Best to filter out the avs fans comments on here for a real portrayal of how much the team dives. I don't recall them diving more than any other team but most players go down easy and embellish if the opportunity presents itself. We've seen Mikko get called for diving before.
I mean we should listen to you since you're probably an expert on diving watching this every night

You took the bait and failed the test. Cool clips though. Not sure where the dive is in the clip with Matthews but I'm sure you have a dense explanation.

I think the point is that it doesn’t seem to work that way for Boldy and Kaprizov when they are taking phantom penalties against waiver fodder like Kostin multiple times in a game.
