Well you had a good run for about a decade.

Wait sec, you guys are top 3 this year.
I knew I can't trust Avs fans to give me the TRUTH.

Both were egregious and deserved to be called out, though really it was on the refs for falling for it. Look at the Boldy penalty with two minutes left in the game for the main example, the other one was just a neutral zone tap along the boards where Makar totally biffed it.Does anyone have a clip of this specific incident? I watched most of the game, and don't remember the play(s) in question. While many players dive, I personally don't recall an instance with Makar taking a dive in any game I've seen.
I mean we should listen to you since you're probably an expert on diving watching this every nightLol. The Divealanche system is so ingrained into Avs land that even the fanbase are making up stats to hide it. It really is an elite operation they got over there. Avs fans should be proud that their franchise has found a way to get free PPs though.
Start calling only the dive and make it an automatic game misconduct, with suspensions for repeat offenders. At the same time, start holding officials accountable and fire any refs who are unwilling or unable to conduct themselves like professionals.
Suspend the player and the ref who made the call. and fine the coach. Fining the player isn't going to fix this.I'd love for there to be a post game review. In last night's Preds Jets game, a Predator player grabbed his mouth like he'd been high sticked but the stick never even touched his face. It's hard to catch at game speed but in a replay it's obvious.
Fine that player and make it public.
Well deserved powerplays courtesy of hard work.

At this point I have to assume that game management is an unnofficial mandate by the league for refs. Which now that gambling is involved starts to drift into match fixing territory. There also really should be a Department of Referee Competence. Call it DORC for short.
The only reason Tim Peel is where he is because of a hot mic. But there are so many other instances of refs being right there looking at something aggregious that leave EVERYONE going "what the f***?" We all know there are several more Tim Peels out there. And we also know there are some that are just plain bad refs.
There's no other explanation for Kelly Sutherland to still be employed despite his obvious history of match fixing. At this point I have to assume that game management is an unnofficial mandate by the league for refs. Which now that gambling is involved starts to drift into match fixing territory.
The Aves fans will never admit it. But playing fairly the only series they actually won was against Nashville. Finally someone with the cahonas to say the obvious. The Divealanche have been doing this for years. It’s coached and ingrained into their system. Rapid head snaps with any light contact to the head, exaggerated falls with any light contact near the boards, extreme grunting and rapid waving of the wrists with any light contact to the gloves. The Avs are ELITE at fooling the incompetent Refs in this League.
Don’t get me wrong though, I don’t blame them for it. If they found a way to get free PowerPlays from the Leagues incompetent officiating they should do it. And they have, they won a Stanley Cup doing just that. All hail the DIVEALANCHE.
I mean Tim Peel more or less blew the lid off it and the league gave it the old "Blackhawks sex abuse scandal" treatment. At this point I have to assume that game management is an unnofficial mandate by the league for refs. I bet you think Lekhonen and Cogliano are true leader for diving head first into the board so that their team can have power play time? Finally someone with the cahonas to say the obvious. Great name change! The Aves fans will never admit it. But playing fairly the only series they actually won was against Nashville.
I do not believe in conspiracies, but if the Wild end up drafting #1 overall this year I might start. Literally everything that could go wrong this season has for this team with just the absolutely most frustrating times for penalty calls. Veteran Goligoski getting tagged for an unsportsmanlike game 1 for saying “make a damn call” to an official, Jared Spurgeon eating two phantom stick infractions already, a guy who averages 6 PIMs a year. Boldy 3 penalties in 6 shifts one with an empty net, the other to deny an own breakaway, all 3 not penalties. At this point I have to assume that game management is an unnofficial mandate by the league for refs. Which now that gambling is involved starts to drift into match fixing territory.
Top 3 in the league in PP opportunities.....someone didn't do their research before poppin one offThe one whining. The Avs are near the bottom of the league for powerplay opportunities so if they're diving as much as the boomer says so it ain't doing them any favours.
