Yeah, sorry I meant next year but my fingers apparently didn’t work.
either way post i was replying to said UFA. there's no offersheet anyone would be willing to offer bedard chicago wouldn't match.

Ah, didn’t even notice it said UFA. Yeah, no fear of that happening really ever. If he gets fed up to the extent he wants out I’d imagine it’s because the rebuild failed and he asks out before then.

My brain is fried. Sorry for the misunderstandings haha.

Gotta shoot it
The endless cycling is annoying.

Attaboy bertuzzi
I knew ben chiarot wasnt good but he got worked there .

He's an RFA after next season. I mean, he could demand a trade. Probably not likely, but I could see if he has to do this all over again next season, for a third year in a row, yeah it's a possibility. Or sign an insane offer from another team that the Hawks are forced to match to retain him, and get out that way. He can also declare as a UFA as soon as he's age 25. In order for a player to declare UFA status, he either has to be over 27, or have played in the league for 7 years, I believe. So around 2029, yeah, but the ripple-effect on the organization, of losing a Bedard in his prime, at that stage in the game, would be pretty f***ed.

Allan has made a couple real bad passes this period

Way too many turnovers in bad spots.

He was getting off but then Bert turned it over
Wanted to re-watch it, but can't rewind watching on Max.

I'm only half paying attention while I browse here, and browse on another board.

you are worrying yourself sick for very little reason. he will not be eligible for ufa at 25 because he will have played more than 80 nhl games. he will be eligible for ufa status after he completes 7 seasons, so after the 29-30 season. i agree that the team not being competitive by then would be a major problem. i don't think that requires going out and making big moves right now just because bedard is in a frustrated slump.

Teraveinen being washed on the 3rd line for absolutely no reason

I'm not worried sick. I just know that if it were me... I wouldn't want to do this 3 years in a row. f***, I struggle with doing it in men's league for one season, when a team is bad. I don't think they need to make "big" moves. They just can't trot out mostly trash to play with him again next year. They need to start trying to improve things a little more. Year 3 of the rebuild should start to see the team improving to outside the bottom 7-8 teams in the NHL.
