Love what Drury did today outside of Motte which is the only real head scratcher for me. I don't think he was needed unless Rooney is done for the year. Pending the return for Copp, I give Drury a B+ today.

It makes sense to me. Basically, shifts McKegg well down the ladder in case of multiple injuries and for the price of a pick that's incredibly unlikely to make the NHL. Rangers may not be "going for it" but they certainly think (for good reason) that they have the pieces (piece: Igor), to make a cinderella run.

Paying these low prices to overhaul the biggest holes on their team and provide additional insurance to insulate as much as possible against Tinordi or McKegg ever seeing the ice in the playoffs makes sense to me.

Was listening to a Hockey News Podcast last week and apparently Libor Hajek is held in somewhat of some regard.
It was mentioned that he has all the tools but just needs to put it all together. So who knows.
I thought he made progress in the few games he played with us this year. If it is him, I wish him luck.

I don't see what he does well other than skate. He provides no offense and isn't very physical.

I felt he was physical in the games he played this year. Drove forwards into the boards and in front of our net.

Hajek is 24 and will never cut it here. He needs the chance to start over elsewhere. Even if he becomes an actual NHL player it's never going to be on the Rangers.
