It's criminal how underutilized she was on the show. She was great with the limited screen time she got.

Whoever cast her on this show knew that there was more to her.
I thought she was great in season 2 of Fargo but this role has a lot more depth and has really allowed her to show off her acting skills.

Im only halfway through episode 3, but man is this show awesome. I love how they make Penguin's ascension realistic.

He's not the toughest villian with crazy powers and strength. His charisma + street smarrs+ drive + sociopath tendencies are guiding him to the top. The man gets put into some of the most tense situations, and thinks his way out of it in a blinks eye. 99.9% of other men would be dead right now because they'd slip up, but he never loses his witts. Cool stuff.

Nice cliffhanger. It'll be a long week to see what happens. I kind of envy viewers that'll binge the series and be able to watch Episode 7 immediately.

I'm so proud of Vic. He's developing into a fine, young, murderer and gangster right before our very eyes. 🥲

The show just gets better and better. Im wondering if we'll see Batman at some point. It'd be pretty cool to see him in a role where he's not the focal point. Like he just comes in and wreaks havoc for a scene, and then we dont see him again.

It might be just me but I thought Oz looked more pale in episode 6. Based on being underground and in hiding for a while. Anyone else notice it ?

That’s a good pick up. I really didn’t notice it at first, but a quick rewatch of the first 10 minutes, I’d say he looks pale for sure.

Perhaps it's the start of a gradual transformation toward the character's more recognizable persona. He could get paler and fatter in the final episodes, lose everyone that he cares about and hate himself and the world even more, setting him up as a grotesque, unstable supervillain force for Batman to contend with in the next movie.

Episode 7 in my opinion was the best. I am just happy I found a show that I really want to see the next episode

I keep forgetting it’s Colin Farrel under there, it’s crazy

I’ve always liked him, despite all the negative reviews True Detective S2 is amazing TV to me

I was going to say that the episode flew by, but then noticed how short it was. Still, it had great pace.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't wait for Dr. Rush to get it. He hasn't hurt anyone, but he just irritates me more than any other character.

I can’t see DR Rush as anyone except for juice from sons of anarchy and I hated him so bad

I'm on episode 3 and its really good so far. Nice to hear that it remains good if not gets better.

I do fear that at some point it's going to come more and more apparent that this is in fact a batman show and that might lose me

No need to worry about that. I havent seen the latest episode, but I haven't felt that way at all.

Through 7 episodes, Batman hasn't been mentioned or even alluded to yet. I would think that he would've by now if he were going to factor in eventually, so I doubt that he will, except maybe a reference or image at the very end of the finale, just to tease the next Batman movie.

Just finished the finale. I won't spoil anything but it was excellent.

I was hesitant to watch this series when it started because I don't really like comic book/superhero stuff that much anymore, but I'm very glad I did.

Great season/series and well deserved of the praise.

It took me until either this year or late last year to get into True Detective season 2 after the backlash at the time it dropped stemming entirely from "It isn't Matt and Woody". It was a good watch. So was season 3. I enjoyed the one with Jodi Foster as well, but that one wasn't even supposed to be True Detective anyway.

One episode behind. The acting is top notch. The scene with Sofia and Francis where Francis gets lost in a trance of the night her sons went missing was so well done.
