Oh, don't you worry it exists. They clearly seem to associate size with safer. I stand by it. Although there were all sorts of accounts flying around, HuGo wanted to trade up, trade down, always wanted to stick with 5 and pick Reinbacher. Who knows what is true.

I wonder if the best move is to pair him with Dach, at least this season. It would help Dach game grow his confidence and they offset each other's weaknesses (size, shot, defense).

Having Suzuki & Newhook on another line would really create 2 lines that can score.

I’ve been wanting to see Dach and Caufield together since the start of last season, they played well on the same line obviously but as a duo i’m not against it at all. Maybe we’ll see it this year.

Caufield still has more to show imo. He has the pedigree to be one of the best goal scorers in the league. His playmaking hasn’t surfaced but it’s there. If it comes to fruition look out.

If Suzuki has the wingers he’ll put up big points.

I personally think Slaf can be a helluva player but he obviously has a ton of work to do.

Dach can easily be a 1b or even a 1a.

Newhook’s a wild card but again a high potential one.

I also see it in the context of a D core that could be truly fantastic. If the D wasn’t loaded then I would be more cynical.

Hutson has the potential to boost a lot of these guys’ numbers himself.

It’s not like I’m opposed to adding a franchise winger but I just think there’s a chance we don’t have to.

I’m not 100% on that but I’m pretty high on the potential. I realize I’m in the minority and I’m certainly not yelling at people who don’t agree with me. I can very easily be wrong.

There's a lot to like in those highlights: quick feet for a big guy, active stick, low panic threshold and he doesnt shy away from initiating contact... here's looking forward to him being a Hab for a very long time.

I’m a huge fan of him but I thought it a bit pedestrian. Pretty good rush at 7:00. Good in OT.

Not a horrible game some ups and downs. Got beat to the outside on the 1st(?) goal.

Still though even with some warts that’s still a draft year D in a men’s league

it's the 4th full game i've seen from him and so far most are like this, you see some really good things for an 18 year old but for all the talk about his defensive game there is some work to be done and I don't find he's great at handling the puck but does seem to dish it well. I thought he might be more physical as I didn't know him very well, I only saw him at the WJC's and maybe a few shifts in the WC's at most. But the offense is where I really wonder, so for now I'm looking at a possible Weber like D, as you have to hope you got a stud at 5th OA.

Honestly impressive for a draft year D to be implied in the play like this in the NLA. He's a general.

I think some people aren’t taking full consideration of the role he played and the league he did it in. Obviously everyone knows it’s a pro league but he was one of the main distributors and shutdown defender in a good mens league at 18! To be implicated in the play at all is really impressive. Definitely room for improvement with his finesse game and puck handling though. Really like his shot + the way he uses it, as well as the way he muscles fwds and breaks the cycle.

Definitely the best dman on the ice. That’s those kind of games i watched that made me pretty intrigued with him and his potential.
