Prospect Info: David Reinbacher - Laval Rocket edition

I don't want him to be injured. Especially against the Washington Capitals. Those classless players that are injuring our players.
But what if he's the key to win game #5 ?
Without Carrier, I don't see how Struble and Xhekaj will be able to contain the Caps top 2 lines... Especially with the last changes in favor of Washington...

Given his history with knee issues this season, no thank you. The kid needs to strengthen his knee right now, not getting it demolished. He has to be ready in September.
He is scheduled to play AHL playoffs in a week. I hope he is ready as the ahl is filled with goons and wannabes trying to make a name for themselves. If not now, when? If he weren’t injured during training camp he most likely would be on the squad now.

It's true, but the speed is a lot less than in the NHL so a bit more time to react.

Reinbachers development is more important to this organisation in the grand scheme of things than game #5 this year as much as I hate to downplay our little run here

100% disagree these things are zero sum or a choice somehow.

Winning the next game is the most important single event for the org since 2021.

If he’s not ready to play against men he’s just not. If he makes the habs even 0.0001% better it’s a no-brainer he plays, period.

Losing to the Caps in 5 games or 6 games is not more important than developing Rienbacher properly.

I am not so sure that he isn't ready to play against men.
He is too good for the AHL IMO.
If Leonard, Hutson and Demidov can skate in this series then I don't see an issue to giving one game of playoff experience to David Reinbacher. No way it will happen but to say he isn't ready to play against men is not something I agree with.

He’s not getting called up. Aren’t they already in Washington by now anyway? Carierre is probably playing. They have announced a call up by now.

Nobody here mentioned Mailloux? He's solid, he's big and he played the nhl before. He just have to play his best game possible. I would use him before Reinbacher who is returning from an injury.

IF they think he is good to go for the Rocket tomorrow then he should be good to go for the Habs tomorrow.

IF they think he would be a better options to take Carrier spot than Strubble than they should bring him to Washington.

Carrier may have been concuss sunday so he may feel fine today and not so fine tomorrow, anyway we should find out later today.

100% disagree, because your choice is not a real one.

It assumes

1- habs lose
2- playoffs don’t matter
3- Somehow playing nhl games will hinder the guy’s development.

0/3 on conclusions there.

win or lose does not hinder his development, neither does playing in the 1st place. Not a real choice here whatsoever.

Also hearing some of you talk about playoff hockey like bots analyzing stat sheets to project 5 year hypothetical futures is the saddest thing for me in all this.

1 game doesn't change anything in the development of a player,

If we need an extra dman because of injuries it got to be either Reinbacher or Mailloux. The only other guy in the AHL who can play at the NHL level is Lindstrom and he brings 0 offense i'd say offensively speaking he is a net negative which we can't afford atm.

The Habs aren't winning the Cup this year. Hate to break it to you.

Get your blinders off. You sound like an old MB supporter with no vision of the future.

If he is targeted and isn't ready, looks awful, loses confidence. Then yes it changes his development (stalls it)

You made me realize they should not even play games until you personnally post on the internet they are ready and they win the cup.

Thanks I was even going to watch game 5 my goodness!

Also I hope they sit everyone nhl down to the echl in case a prospect gets hurt playing hockey now that I have seen the light.

He won’t be called back, unless upper management has a last minute change of heart.

Point has been made on either side. Fact of the matter is they are going with the boys that brought them there in this heck of a ride.

David will have ample time to prove his worth in Laval starting tomorrow.

His defensive game would be a major liability in an elimination game where it seems that every mistake in the backend ends up in the net.
