Prospect Info: David Reinbacher - Laval Rocket edition

But it's like that every year.
An appendix and a cut definitely should not be considered “injury prone”. An argument can be made for reinjuring the same body part over and over of course, but even then, that could be because of the way someone plays as opposed to physiology. I wouldn’t call an enforcer injury prone if he keeps breaking his hand punching someone for example.

Let me reiterate, Guhle misses a lot of games, because of injuries and illness, that's my point.

It's unlikely any player becomes Kucherov.

And I don't engage in it, I'm just telling it like it is. People are gonna fire back with some insane takes on Michkov because of the insane takes on Reinbacher.

Everything is tribalized.. can't even say Laine is bad 5 on 5 without some people inventing realities that he isn't. Nuance is a lost art.
Can’t say Dach or Newhook are bad without people inventing realities that they aren’t

Everyone has their favorites

I would definitely look into it but I wouldn’t really say it’s been a lot. This is the only year since at least his draft year that he’s missed significant time. He came back early and looked fantastic.

Whatever’s happened with this new one seems pretty small. I wouldn’t be opposed to getting an RD regardless but I’m certainly not giving up on Reinbacher
Reinbacher has a wonky knee. I would add depth this summer on right side. Savard this is his last season. Hutson can play right side but is better on left.

Getting another RD makes some sense but remember they have Mailloux if DR goes down with the knee issue.
I still think the kid has just had some bad luck, and DR will be fine to win the job next season. But until he shows everyone he can stay healthy, then there needs to be a plan B.

Loosing faith in Mailloux. Hope I’m wrong. I get the feeling that if we thrust him into a #1 role we create another Brisebois situation where we put a guy in the position to fail. Time will tell, though.

So… Reinbacher skated yesterday. This morning at the first Rocket’s practice since their return of road trip, he ain’t even on the ice.

They're saying this isn't concerning.

But how can it not be. It seems he needs to be shut down and the knee needs to heal properly.
