Prospect Info: David Reinbacher - Laval Rocket edition

One thing that makes my outlook positive regarding Reinbacher is that from my understanding risk of reinjury following MCL tear and management is relatively low and performance usually isn't affected. ACL tears though, like Dach had, is not associated to as good outcomes and much less if there's a concomitant MCL tear. Not an expert on the subject however, so I'm not familiar with all the surgical techniques, sports specific outcomes or all of the data.

He missed a whopping 6 days. Nobody talked about injury concerns his draft year because there were none. It's revisionist history at best.

He returned to play before the end of the WC and participated at the 2023 combine.

By that logic, any player with any injury is tainted and shouldn't be drafted. Celebrini? Busted shoulder. Demidov? Busted ankle :shakehead .

I still really think it was a knee-cap situation
It's that or Meniscus, it's gotta be lol

Before the draft.

I actually love this clip because it was the FIRST time I had ever really taken a look of him
And I was immediately drawn by how big he was and how he was trying to TEAR up the middle of the ice, really trying to DO something
He obviously paid the price for it but I always loved that he tried tho lol

I'm not expecting too much regarding this subject. I've seen one poster criticize the pick due to Reinbacher's apparent pre draft knee issues... But had both Jiricek brothers high, notably Adam lmao.

Apparently, missing 3 months or tearing your ACL <<< missing 6 days.

Honestly I don't know whether it's an actual injury or they're being overly conservative. Everyone plays hurt but I wonder if they won't let him play hurt at all as these Rocket games don't matter at all. We'll see...
