Prospect Info: David Reinbacher - Laval Rocket edition

Maybe next time dont spend a top5 pick on someone with history of injuries. Leonard or Michkov would look good in a habs jersey.

Let’s hope he stay healty in the future…
I don't believe he necessarily had a history of injuries, but he did have that condition with his knee that the majority of the time doesn't cause issues into adulthood.

Not a doctor obviously, but it does make you wonder about the implied minority of the time, especially with how unremarkable the incident that caused his injury was.

Michkov would look great. Leonard might be Mike Keane with a better snap shot. Will reserve judgment until I see him in the NHL like Michkov.

Michkov Michkov Michkov Leonard Leonard Leonard ffs, can we get over it? Dude is probably getting rested for the playoffs. Laval don't need him right now, they're first in the league.

If it wasn't for his unlucky injures, Leonard wouldn't even be in the conversation.

Look, the moment they decided to have Price call his name, David was doomed.

He didn't. This board literally invented this narrative out of thin air. Osgood Schlatter's is about as relevant to a pro athlete as getting your tonsils removed as a child and has absolutely nothing at all to do with the knee injury he got earlier in the year.

Watch Leonard play tonite and you will get it.

I know it’s hard to predict the future, but we spent a top5 on someone with injuries and it bothers me. Not saying Reino is not gonna be good or anything but theres place for concern.

On the opposite, I find that we are lucky on that front. Suz, Caufield, Hutson, Montembeault and Slaf (most of the times) are all healthy.
One quick thing here, Caufield (knock on wood) is about to finish his first 82 game season. He missed half a year where he looked like he might have a shot at 50 and last year he still hadn't really recovered.

Any idea why Reinbacher didn't play in 2 games in the week-end ?

On another subject, it seems that what Torts has done to Michkov is like what Ducharme did to Caufield. Michkov seems unlocked now.

It sounds like they're being careful with him. He came back from a Knee injury and are giving him rests. His conditioning will take time to get back to par.

I remember the same when I said a year ago that Mesar was a bust.
You can say all draft picks are a bust and you'll be right 90% of the time. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about those who says "this guy who is 20 is a bad draft pick and this other guy who is 20 would be a far better pick i'm sure i would bet my house on it". 90% of the time they both bust as 90% of the draft picks do. Those type of claims are very rarely based on observable facts someone observed with his own eyes for a long period of time.
