This is so confusing, I am ready to throw in the towel. So this guy is — not — from the same school, in Boston, as Dave Quinn? Or is it the other way around?
Are we sure that Gorton even noticed this? Nice first impression that would be, ‘hey Davey we got you your old assistant, Brown!!’ Brown and Quinn looks oddly at each other, both thinking fast — do we tell him or not?
Neither jersey is particularly great imhk.Quinn is from Boston University (Terriers). The team Shattenkirk, B. Tkachuk and Eichel played for.
Brown is from Boston College (Eagles). The team Kreider, Hayes and Eaves played for.
Boston University Terriers have a boring red and white jersey
Boston College Eagles have a beautiful maroon-gold jersey

I really like the Minnesota wild 3rd jersey.
Noone has thirds anymore, new third are slowly being introduce by Adidas starting this season with about 10 teams getting thirds i think. (Not us)Our 3rds are the best 3rds in the league.
I love Ottawa's 3rds too, about the only thing that franchise has been able to get right.
Brown was a 2nd rounder in '83 or'89 i cant remember.Greg Brown was a 1st rounder I think the year Leetch was drafted. They both went to BC. They both played in the Olympics together along with Mike Richter, Corey Millen, Clark Donatelli and Tony Granato (who is going to be K'Andre Miller's coach). All of those guys were Rangers draft picks--all played in the NHL. And as mentioned above his brother Doug played a long time in the NHL. Greg also played in the NHL but not nearly as long as his brother. Greg also will know Kreider and Kevin Hayes very well.

Any chance that Rikard Gronborg is the final piece of the staff?
I mean... you jest, but it's kind of true. But this is every circle of employment. Sometimes it's not what you know, it's who you know. There is a major Boston-area connection forming with the Rangers right now. I'm not saying that Brown isn't qualified to step behind an NHL bench right now. He's certainly paid his dues. But I also wouldn't ignore the connection.Wow. All these ties to Leetch/Richter and the NHL already? And he has an extended history with Quinn?
Inb4 "he's already a #hockeyman and #honoraryoldboysclub"
They're nice but it's time for a refresh. Reminds me too much of the Torts-era. I don't remember them wearing the heritages much if it all last season. A 2018 re-boot of the lady liberty jerseys would be cool to see.Our 3rds are the best 3rds in the league.

i assume you are kidding, this isn't that hard,
none of us confuse New York Islanders and New York Rangers
somehow Brit soccer fans (sorry for your loss) get the difference between Man U and Man City
these are 2 of longest-standing and most successful US college hockey programs
and as noted have long winding NYR connections
It’s like we had HV71.4159265359 and HV71.4139265359 in Sweden. Would they be easy to tell apart? Didn’t think so.
