Hope he's smart enough to answer the system will depend on the roster.

I think they should've hooked him up to a lie detector, turned off all the lights, and shone a spotlight on him.

Then we could've grilled him about his mental health, his views on Corsi, timed his answer to various scenarios and asked us to design a bridge made out of toothpicks that can sustain up to a 5 pound weight.

In the meantime, someone needs to look into his tax filings, because he clearly doesn't know how to manage money, which is why he needed extra.

Lol.

Posts like this are the reason I keep coming back here.

Quinn takes one step outside the cozy confines of his Ivy League kingdom and is quickly introduced to
New York scrutiny and speculation.

Welcome to the Big Leagues Fella!

****, yeah! And let's sign Tavares for 7 years and $91MM! After all, he's only 27!!!
What you just did here was dishonest to put it nicely. It's called a strawman and this place LOVES them. Please address what I actually said instead of whatever this nonsense is.

No, no, no, no. No guys who are 29 already in the first offseason of the rebuild.

Patience, discipline, and occasional opportunism.
Blanket banning players based on age seems like a very short sighted, narrow minded, impatient thing to do.
Not saying we SHOULD trade for PK. You should read what I actually wrote. I call into the question the example you used bc (Didn't think I needed to explain this) you used that as an example of the types of trades the NYR have made in the past.

Except the NYR never made trades like Pionk for Subban
and the only examples I could think of that came close to that were great trades. So I was disagreeing with you using that to represent trades the NYR have made in the past. I am not disagreeing wholly with the idea that we should avoid trading for PK Subban. If it literally only cost Pionk you'd have to be a fool to turn it down. Based on what it actually would cost I would avoid that trade completely.

Maybe, if all goes well in the upcoming draft, in (short term) UFA this July, at the next TDL, and in the draft to follow – then maybe then it makes sense to sign a guy like Karlsson as a UFA next summer (if he makes it there, that is).

But no (meaningful) prospect for established pro trades until 2020 at the earliest.

Please, please go propose Pionk for Subban straight up on the main board. Let me know about everyone who agrees the NYR should never make that trade. If for some reason the NYR got away with such a bafflingly amazing trade you realize they could then use PK in a trade to recoup assets much greater then Pionk right?

Again your example was pure garbage and I was trying to politely question it. But after this reaction I guess I'm less polite about it.

The VAST majority of AV criticisms were fair, on point and used multiple examples to highlight his failings. Many of them aligned with the words of Vancouver fans and many of them were echoed in the actions and words of current and former players.

You and your assessment of AV were just frequently wrong and you can't admit it so you constructed a narrative in your mind that all of the assessments of AV that disagreed with you are, for the most part, just unfair.
.

Wrong, as usual. The legitimate criticisms of AV (his stubborness when it came to his system, his defensive schemes/lack of adjustments, and his over reliance on delegating leadership in the locker room) often manifested themselves into a narrative that AV was amongst the worst coaches in the league and couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. Thats where things went off the rails. Not to mention the constant bickering about his personnel deployment with little or no heed given to a roster thats been steadily corroding for 3 years.

The reporters at least should ask how involved he will be in the draft and etc. The question were ridiculous, especially the "team he grew up supporting" one.

Complete nothing questions. At least there was one about Hank. Ask him about his draft involvement, as you said. Whether his hiring will have an influence on potentially selecting Tkachuk, Wise, Farabee, etc. Ask him about some of the areas AV struggled with, how he'll do things different. Pressing offseason decisions like Nash, Kovalchuk, Zucc. His thoughts on Chytil and Andersson. Where they'll play.

at 51 years old is he young enough to adapt and create a winning system or is he here mainly to develop talent?

“I’m not the GM so I’ll leave the draft up to Gorton and Drury and their staff but I will certainly provide my input on the college guys as needed.”

“I don’t feel it’s fair to comment on another coaches tenure, all I’m focused on is doing this job to the best of my abilities starting now.”

“I’m not the GM so I’ll leave those decisions up to Gorton and his staff.”

“I still have to go through the process of meeting the roster so it’s not fair for me to comment on that at this time.”

There ya go.

Likely, but at least make the guy do his job. The questions they asked are the typical from these beat reporters.
