To me he had the game(s) on his stick so many times.

The gap between great and LEGEND is just the ones he didn't put in this series. And there were a lot of them.

Unfortunate he hasnt been able to perform better in the playoffs. These last two seasons he has elevated his play in the regular season but not in the playoffs.
Reg season ppg: 1.36
Playoffs ppg: 0.65

get the guy some help, can't expect 1 guy to do everything.

this team overachieved given all the roster losses and the current makeup of the squad.
pasta had a ridiculous year, making everyone around him better.
Thank god for posters like you.

This place is a mess today with the same fools posting stupid stuff.

Not near Makar level impact.

A bit easier to make an impact when you're on the ice with Mackinnon and Rantanen vs Zacha and Heinen.

This is what it looks like when you're a 1 man offense. The other team will throw the kitchen sink at him and smother him. They don't fear anyone else on the roster, nor should they

Played on same line with 37/63 and folded in '19 SCF.

Some very emotional takes in here this morning.

My suggestion to those who want to slag off Pasta, pin that our season is done on him, trade him away, compare him to Makar, etc, etc,???

Step away from the diving board. Take a deep breath. Sleep on it. Have a good meal. Get some exercise. Then rethink. Then….. and only then……. say hello to your senses, welcome them home, and have a good chuckle about the drama show you put on.

He didn't do enough no doubt, but when you have zero other legit weapons it makes game planning him too easy. Need some other guys who can pot some goals
They had Marchand and DeBrusk at different points doing that. Even Frederic against Leafs

Not his fault everyone else on the team turns into a pigeon in the playoffs. He didn’t play his best but he also was easy to focus all efforts on to make the rest of the team irrelevant offensively. Go for broke for Drai without giving up Pasta, Sway, or Mac. Even Lohrei if it gets it done.

0 assist and a -2.

Putting the puck in the net isn't the only thing you should be expecting from your forwards. Especially if this one isn't going to play defense.
Yeah but he wasn't MIA in '23.

He wasn't MIA in '23. He actually made a couple of good d plays this year. Also was first Bruib on puck on what was thought a goal early 3rd.

His job is to score goals, and he potted 5 in 7

That's the problem. You don't pay 10 plus mil to the guy who only "scores" goals.

Again, what about the year before? What about this year?

So it's his job to only score goals and when he doesn't do it it's because the other guys didn't do their job? Which is what? To also score goals?
