Best winger not named Kucherov, along with a healthy Kaprizov. Those are the three foundational, franchise level wingers in the league IMO.
Which ones is he easily better than:Imo, easily a top 5 player in the league.
He is a magician. Elite, borderline generational talent.
Which ones is he easily better than:
Mackinnon
McDavid

Makar?
The league and the way the Bruins played changed pretty significantly around the time Pasta entered the league. Bergeron and Marchand played a long time when goal scoring was way lower than it is now, and even Bergeron had scored 70+ points multiple times by then.Bergeron and Marchand were 50-60 point player without Pastrnak, Krejci was arguably better than both
I definitely would rank him ahead of Matthews. More 100 pts seasons and has actually even surpassed 110 pts with no supporting cast. It’s because McDavid, Kucherov, MacKinnon, Draisaitl, and Matthews are definitively better, and that’s before we crack into any defensemen and goalies.
He’s an awesome player, maybe even heads the list of best forwards after those five with his consistency factored in at this point, but never being in the top 5 is not because he’s underrated— it’s because there are a clear handful of players he’s objectively behind.
They both produce at 90%+ of his production. What D needs to do to be better than F?Hughes and Makar, easily

Im Avs/Makar fan and IMO Hughes is as good as him in last 2 seasons. From your list of players:
1 - McDavid
2 - Mack
3 - Drai
4 - Kuch
5 - Makar
6 - Pasta
7 - Hughes
Mack, Drai and Kuch are interchangeable, not enough separation between them to definitely say one is better than the others
I prefer Makar over Pasta but wouldn’t be surprised if there are other people that prefer Pasta more
Hughes needs another 90pt season to be in the same conversation as Makar let alone the rest of those fowards
Yeah, Matthews with 2nd mediocre season in last 3 years drops from Top 5 conversation.I definitely would rank him ahead of Matthews. More 100 pts seasons and has actually even surpassed 110 pts with no supporting cast.
For non forwards, I would have Makar ahead but that's it. So yes, maybe not top 5 but I would have him as 6th.
Quinn Hughes? lolWhich ones is he easily better than:

I have it pretty much the same as well. Geekie is going full Kunitz with Pastrnak this season, and will be paid accordingly. From your list of players:
1 - McDavid
2 - Mack
3 - Drai
4 - Kuch
5 - Makar
6 - Pasta
7 - Hughes

By getting 90% of 1st places in Norris voting last year in pretty stacked field.Quinn Hughes? lol
How did he make this list.
Makar is on par with Pasta I think, but Quinn Hughes is a little behind those 2 imo.Which ones is he easily better than:

Uncle Gary better rig the lottery so he can play with Misa or Hagens
Matthews? HA!!!!!It’s because McDavid, Kucherov, MacKinnon, Draisaitl, and Matthews are definitively better, and that’s before we crack into any defensemen and goalies.

Curious how you would rank this? And why not toss in elite goalies if you are tossing in d? Shesterkin and helle.Which ones is he easily better than:

Yeah, Matthews with 2nd mediocre season in last 3 years drops from Top 5 conversation.
95 points which is currently pace for best Defencemans in the league. Even if he is back to last year form. you still have 4 forwards that are consistently great + Makar, so top5 is hard to crack either way,Matthews is still on pace for ~100 points, over 82 games, this season.
He's going to definitely have major surgery this summer, and, than we can evaluate his position as top 5 in the NHL.
Something is wrong with Matthews, he isn't shooting wristers at all this season. It's 100% a wrist injury. Even on the powerplay, you'll either see him defer the puck or one time it.
It's clearly been bugging him since last playoffs, when he got injured.
David Pastrnak started to play at high levels in 16-17, when he reached 70 points and surpassed the 30 goals mark for the first time.
I agree with you. He managed to turn Geekie into a 30 goals scorer, that‘s a miracle in and of itself.Pasta is an underrated passer, similar to how Iginla was. He just doesn't have any guys around him who can finish.
