I could see a two year deal - going to three I see a sub 5 AAV. I redistribute most of the the dollars freed up with hall, rask, and krejci RIGHT back into those three players with hall taking a larger slice.

Guy is, and has always been underrated and under appreciated by many fans. Absolutely amazing “team first” player with incredible poise, vision, hockey sense and passing ability.
Once the puck is on his stick, things “settle down”.
I read the posts of folks who “aren’t fans” and just shake my head.
He should retire a Bruin...keeping an eye on the cap and fiscal responsibility of course.

Halls worth about 5 per. He was grossly over paid that’s why he went to Buffalo. Hard to turn down 8 mil with a no trade clause. Buffalo made it impossible to say no. Idiot Buffalo gm.

Just about every team would lineup to sign Hall at 5m per

Because that’s what he is worth. Bidding wars are stupid. Ya let’s over pay him in a salary cap world then cripple ourselves. Just because other teams will offer more. If he wants to win he signs for what he is worth. If he wants money he signs with a fringe team at 6-7. Hockey is a team sport with a hard salary cap. U can’t over pay guys. U just can’t. Or u end up with no depth. He can’t take up 10% of the salary cap then only offer 5% of the over all production.

He can't expect 8m per season barring MVP calibre finish the rest of the way/playoffs

but I wouldn't be surprised if he is seeking 7 x 7 and gets something close to it

unfortunately the 2021 UFA class is weak. Hall and agent do have leverage. Clever move to request a trade out of Buffalo, which was plummeting his value

You should read your posts for the definition of Dumb. A trained monkey could have made that pass to hall last night.

That play was 100% Hall. In fact if Krejci had an ounce of goal scoring ability he would have had 3 goals from feeds from Hall in the three games together.

Krejci sucked last night with his lazy giveaways, only to be bailed out twice by Swaymans superman skills.

HE COULDN'T HOLD BERGY'S JOCKSTRAP.

Most valuable player in the last 10 years? You are a clown.
When they hang 46 in the rafters,,,and when he gets the HOF call......Remember how dumb your stance has been.....

I’d ease up on this talk. He’s definitely been a great Bruin. But he’s lacked intensity for more than half of his career. I think if Krejci’s “will” matched his “skill” he’d be a top 20 player in the NHL. He’s extremely passive. The proof is staring us in the face right now, as he has upped his effort level by 50% now with Hall on his line.

I never said he is a shit player did I. HOF ? Your MVP stance is idiotic. Guy has had a great career behind Bergy and the hard match ups. DK has lived a charmed life in Boston and was grossly over paid while doing it.

Still a very good secondary player that will get his assists for sure playing with Hall and Smith toward the end of his time in Boston. 7M will be better spent elsewhere moving forward.

On who? I am hoping we can get him back for less than that but who do you have as Boston's second line center next year?

Krejci is a very good 2c who can play up if needed and not kill the team. He's also on the last lap of a long and fine career in Boston. I imagine the Bruins bring him back if he wants to return, but I would not want to see more than 2 years at 5.5 or something along those lines.

There's not one center even close to as good as Krejci on the UFA market for next year and unless they are openly trying to tank they aren't going into next season with Studnicka or Coyle as their 2C. I would certainly expect that he gets re-signed for a couple more years at a reasonable price.

So who do you replace him with next year? That’s the million dollar question no one can answer.

Have no idea, But I'm not paying this guy 7m to be a second line aging center. Thank you for your great time in Boston but Its time to move on with another plan. If DS signs him, 4M at three years sure not one penny more

RNH is a UFA so that would be a possibility unless you want to deal for a Monahan maybe or something. Probably easiest to just re up him,

Unless he falls off a cliff, there aren't really any better options out there for next season. If he ends up with a year of a reduced role after that, not really a big deal.
