That criticism would be like if the team needed more scoring on the power play and me ragging on Chara for not producing there. Or needing better transitions and Chara not being a fast enough PMD. It’s not his game. Chara can carry the puck but if you hold him to to a pure PMD standards you’ll never be happy with him.No, I'm not discrediting anything. I've given him full credit for his assist totals plenty of times here. But given the team is struggling to score, he needs to contribute more than he has because he has the ability and skills to do so. I also didn't single him out. I lumped him in with Pasta and Marchand about the goals since all three could contribute more.
So like I said earlier, your response falls under the territory of even valid criticisms about him can't be discussed without the pro DK crowd getting defensive and using misdirection.
As I said a few posts ago, my favorite player is Marchand. But even though he's my favorite, I can say that he hasn't been playing up to his own standards this year. His scoring has been off and the team needs him to do a better job of scoring goals consistently. I also think he's gotten to infatuated with his dipsy do moves and is trying to skate through too many guys when passing it to the open guy is a smarter play. I can say that without needing to throw up excuses because I can be critical and honest about it.
Yet people here can't even say that DK going 18 games between goals was bad. He didn't score a ****ing goal for the entire month of October ffs, yet people can't say that was unacceptable for some reason. And when you point that out, you get called a hater or being agenda driven. In reality, there is no agenda. Just looking for the team to win and the team needs DK to be a huge part of that since he's so important to the team.
It's really just the same old story, great game and his faults need to be highlighted.

Scoring goals has never been Krejci’s game, we both know this. If he’s setting up his linemates and on pace for nearly 80 points, do you really care that most are assists? This is ridiculous.
See, this is where you loose me Jesse. There are roughly 10 or so quotes here in this thread from after the game last night calling people out for things that were factually not true. If you look at the Pasta thread, he had a good game last night but there are virtually no posts saying the equivalent of "Suck it Pasta haters". Yet there are close to a dozen here in DK's. Marchand's thread has plenty of people that dislike his game and the way he plays, but nobody is in there crowing because he scored two goals last night. Yet in DK land, we've got this ardent group of posters who feel the need to defend everything he does, and in real time.
Let’s say he plays the whole year with Marchand and Pastrnak and puts up 11-70-81. Would you be disappointed in his play? I’m really having a hard time telling if you’re serious or not lol. He's never been an elite goal scorer, but he's surely capable of putting up a pace for more than 7 goals for a season, no? Saying he should be around 20 goals each year isn't a stretch, given he usually ends up around that mark. So when he's on a pace to net 7-8 per, that's him being off his own personal pace, no? Is that not fair to call out or discuss? This is the problem with this place. You can't be truthful or honest about the guy without 50 people rushing to defend and excuse away the comments.
I've always thought this debate has never been about Krejci or getting the most out of his skills and what we can do to make him better, but rather it's about winning points on the board.
The Krejci we saw last night we would see more often if the Bruins knew what they were doing, but we sit in a wild card spot mixing and matching lines, trying to find toughness etc. If they could only do the simple thing and get him a RW or somebody to compliment his play.
Its always a mess with this franchise

You and I have personally been through this before. I literally listed all the wings DK has played with an aside from last year when he got Spooner and JDB for most of the season, he has played with incredibly gifted scorers. And even last year, they spent capital to try and get him Nash and that would have been good except for Nash getting concussed.
So this perpetual belief that the team has hung him out to dry and not provided him with quality players is a fabrication.
Wheeler and Ryder. Lucic and Horton. Lucic and Iggy. Loui Eriksson. Nash, They signed Backes and tried him with DK, but it didn't work out. Same thing with Beleskey.
They've done a ton to try and get him viable players, whether it's worked or not, and for the most part it has.
2020 Bruins win Cup
And David Krejci leads all playoff scorers
jesus, coming in here & complaining about his goal totals after the clinic he put on last night is so tone deaf.
at least wait until he's slumping again.

No, he get's that label during some games, by people who don't see him make a mean face, so he must not care. It's dumb then too. Then blame DK himself for it.
Those quotes are why he gets that label, fair or not.

What a joke . He’s got a good attitude and doesn’t act entitled like Some of the Red Sox we’ve seen. What a city to play in, and it’s interesting to see a cup winner labeled that way by a team who wins once every 40 year’s or so. It’s not like any others players set the bar of a winning culture here since Orr
DK playing phenomenal. He needs to do this every game when Bergeron is back as well. He's def still got it
Then blame DK himself for it.

TBH I think part of the idea that he is some lazy Euro is just the culture difference
European players are just very honest, whereas the Canadian players (and to a lesser extent Americans) grow up in this culture of having to provide these textbook answers during interviews
Rask is the exact same way. Laine, Kotkaniemi, Yakupov, and I'm sure many more
The difference is they just say what they're thinking whereas North Americans are trained to just lie about it. As evidenced by the Senators Uber gaffe earlier this year
